It is quite disappointing when you compared this store with the other Tokyo Centrals in Los Angeles and San Diego areas.

This is the smallest Tokyo Central I ever been. Prepared food are quite limited. Japanese souvenir (Anime and Gunpla) limits to half aisle. Small amount of Japanese household goods and behind the cashier. No food court. Only a few Donki signs around.

In general, this is just a convenient neighborhood Asian supermarket. There are many rooms for improvement in order to match what Mitsuwa can offer.

Affiliated store with Singapore’s Don Don Donki and Japan’s Don Quijote in the Bay Area. I’d know it because of the penguin mascot! I could even here the song playing in my head “Don don don ki~”

It’s basically a heaven for Japanese. There’s so many Japanese products that I don’t know exist or need. The store definitely gives Asian vibes and the price is decent. Some might be pricier but overall it’s okay.

James the cashier had a great attitude and fantastic customer service... it was time for his lunch break but there was no coverage that day so he continued to help. I was so pleased because I was on my lunch break and he was very kind to help out the rest of the customers. So happy he just kept checking folks out because there was a long line in both lanes! Thank you!

Love to buy sliced fresh meat in small packages in this store. It is very convenient for stir fry dishes.

everything is sooo fresh! whenever i come here i always pick up the pre seasoned chickens they have in the meat section. also, i get a whole slice of salmon sashimi here because it ever so slightly cheaper than the other japanese super market. Besides the meats, this is definitely a Japanese food hub you can find practically every ingredient for japanese dishes here. They also of course have those cute snacks, chips, drinks, and desserts.

A lot of japanese gocery here. But the sushi is bad, they don’t even cook the rice right. Too much water and it is too mushy
