Last Gen was my last destination in Toronto South-Western end of the city. Unlike Game Mania or Xtreme Gamer Interactive, they actually had a list of games they had in stock on their website. So I knew exactly what I wanted before going there.

Game Selection
The stock of video game is wider than Nerdgasm, I was mainly looking at PS1/2/3/4/5 games though. I believe they had games from every console I’ve known of since the 90s. So if you are looking for retro used games then this is definitely a place to check out if you are downtown.

I was mostly looking for a replacement mega man X8 game where the manual and art box was destroyed. However, I was interested in seeing if they had any sealed games but unfortunately, the selection for new games are limited.

Pricing
The pricing for the games are extremely fair. I had been around the city and on eBay by this time so I know some of the prices for the certain games.

Conclusion
I love how they have a website so I don’t have to go to the store like the 90s where I come up empty handed. They are right at the heart of downtown Chinatown so travel is easy for people that live or visit Downtown Toronto. It’s worth checking out if you are looking for older used items in the gaming sector. I will definitely be returning if I spot anything on their website.

Be advised: the store isn’t always open during its stated hours - on the storefront and online it says it’ll be open 1 pm - 7 pm Tuesdays-Saturday, but on a Friday I waited around 20 minutes until 1 (and a bit after that), and the store showed no sign of activity inside.

A lady (probably a neighbour store owner) saw me looking at the store and said it opens at 2 pm like it was a typical thing. If so, please update the time! I was fully prepared to make a purchase and support a small business, but left because I was sick of waiting. Now I might buy the game I really wanted online because I can’t trust the place will be open reliably.

If you go and it happens to be open, it’s a great small business that offers games at surprisingly good deals sometimes. Lots of variety, both old and new.
