If i could give it less than 1 star, I would. I felt like I was in Pretty Woman after being made to feel like I don’t belong (and then also spending my money at lovely other establishments right next door). When going to try on items, I felt fat shamed by the Sales Associate there and then when I had only FOUR items in the dressing room, the Sales Associate shouted at me across the store about the number of items I had. It was really tacky. The experience made me feel profiled as a thief. When I called to provide the feedback, they basically said « yeah people steal so we have to limit the number of items », while completely missing the point that their bedside manner and profiling is absolutely inappropriate, not the policy (which I was under). No apologies about the experience or a desire to provide an elevated (or even basic) level of customer service. I won’t be shopping there in the future and based on these google reviews, I would bet a lot of other people feel the same.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever witnessed in retail. I used to work in it and treat all employees with a grain of salt and patience considering, but they made me feel less than other costumers. There was ZERO transparency regarding their return policy. It was not listed anywhere on my receipt. When I asked for somebody higher up to speak to regarding these issues they did not deliver. Extremely dissatisfied and a trip ruiner to say the least. I should have looked at the other reviews prior to shopping with this small “business”. Wonder if the storefront in Westhampton is run with a higher moral? If so, they should give these employees a pointer or two.

I am a big fan of supporting local stores, but I will never step foot in Xanadu kids again. Went to return a gift for my grandson and was told absolutely not without a receipt. I wasn't looking for money back, only a store credit but no exceptions. So I left and we tracked down the receipt and when I went back, they still would not accept the return because now it is over two weeks and some of the items were on sale. I wasn't looking to be compensated for the full price! Again just looking for a store credit so I could buy something else. And the items were sweatsuits which are seasonless. Local shops take note: if you want the patronage you need to be accommodating and show good customer service. EGG, a children's store a few doors down is a much better choice and will be getting my business in the future.

Extremely rude manager, profiled me as someone who steals designs or something when I wanted to show my sister a too she might like. “It’s against store policy” however a mother did the exact same thing while I was in the store and the manager spoke kindly to her and helped her. The manager continued to stall me around the small boutique and question my intentions. I mentioned that the woman did the same thing as me but she said “oh but I know her.” I compared the situation to bending the rules for friends, she said “no, she shops here often.” I reminded her that she told me it was against store policy, I guess when you profile someone as a thief, you don’t think that maybe they would’ve liked to be a frequent shopper. The situation was disgusting and left me feeling disgusting.

Worst customer service ever. I went to exchange a gift for a different size but i didn’t have the receipt and they refused to look up the order and accommodate. Not only was the manager unaccomodating she was extremely rude. I will never shop in this store. I support shopping small but they should know that customer service is at the heart of any good business.

Whenever I am in the Hamptons, Xanadu is my “go to” place. The store owner and sales personnel are helpful and knowledgeable. Their merchandise is beautiful and top of the line. They know my taste and pick amazing items for me. I have never been disappointed with the help nor the items purchased. Can’t wait til the next shopping excursion!

Stopped at Xanadu over the weekend and as always. A pleasant shopping experience. Love the clothing they have there. Such a beautiful selection to choose from. The owners and staff are always so kind and I let them know that. Highly recommend. My third time shopping with them and I’ll be back soon. Fabulous store.

This place has the worst customer service ever. My husband and I walked in and an older woman gave us no greeting. We were the only customers. I had to ask repeatedly where thins were and she told us begrudgingly. I would never go back to this store.
