Overpriced and out of touch with today's market. The stores have lots of items not in stock which is the one reason to go there in the first place! Yet there are racks and racks of expensive clothing but when I needed a common zinc it was out of stock!

Extremely over priced and poor stock rotation. West Marine has come to coastal regions and systematically pushed out local vendors of marine goods in the same fashion that Walmart comes in to small towns and destroys their economies. See photos posted with this review for examples. They have inflated their prices astronomically because they are now the only retailer around that has many of these items. We allowed this to happen sadly. I have spoken with managers at multiple stores and they had the attitude of “nothing can be done about it”, “deal with it”.

If you must shop here you are forced to pay double to triple of what other stores sell it for or walk around the store price matching everything to online retailers. What a waste of everyone’s time.

Don’t support West Marine if you have a local supplier of marine goods. They have been bought out by a holdings company that doesn’t care about you or our boating community. All they care about is the bottom dollar.

When you need it now and know it’s going to cost you or you just have it like that anyway…West Marine is there.

It’s an easy to access store with plenty of parking. Clean store. Some associates are very knowledgeable, others not so much. Glad to have one in Mount Pleasant.

Kevin is seriously the most accommodating employee ever!! I reached out with a time sensitive issue and an unusual challenge. He made me feel like the most important customer and took care of all my needs! He went above and beyond to make sure I was going to have smooth sailing going forward! So impressed and grateful. I wish he was in Florida so he could be part of my crew too!

This is the best West Marine I have been in, big store with a good stock of boating and fishing supplies with great service.

The shop had much more than I anticipated. Example is the clothing line. I was there to get a gift card and not being a boater I felt a bit overwhelmed by the variety. There appeared to be plenty of staff in the store but no one approached me and asked if I had questions or needed assistance.
