I'm not sure what happened to the outlets. They used to be busy and full of stores. They still have some stores but nothing like it had before. I honestly won't waste my time on the outlets and head right to the casino instead. The casino is really nice and worth the trip. Just an additional note: during the holiday season they have an outdoor ice rink to skate at.

My family and I have shopped at Viejas Outlet for years. Many stores have decent prices, Eddie Bauer being a personal favorite of mine. My wife likes the toy store for unusual gifts for our nieces and nephews. I particularly like the natural atmosphere. There is a stream that runs through the mall with vegitation and wildlife statues. In fact, I came by today to take photos of some of the wildlife that is attracted to the stream until security showed up. They asked for ID, advised they had complaints, and I was told I couldn't take pictures. No worries, I will take my business elsewhere. My family and I will not be back.

I don't know what's going on. There were a lot of stores and restaurants. They need to add more stores and more food places. It's very empty. One Saturday afternoon very empty is incredible. I gave them three stars for a new place called Alpine Country Deli. The clam chowder soup is very tasty and the workers are very friendly.

There weren't that many stores of various brands, but there was a Nike Clearance outlet, so I shopped very cheaply.
There were only a lot of restrictions on size, but it's highly recommended for those who wear a big size.
I bought shoes, hats, and many other products at a low price.

Shopping thru many good stores, they have a variety of food options. I had smash burger with chili cheese fries. Portions were large, tasty.

I've watched Vieja's outlet center birth to its current state. It used to be a beautiful outlet center and it has all the potential to still be beautiful but they have cut down many trees especially in the parking lot and it looks terrible. Also makes the place feel a lot hotter. The outlet centers feel overpriced as well. They used to have great bargains. I think if they come back to inject some love and attention to detail. To keep the place clean as it felt a little abandoned. To plant some more local trees again and stop eliminating the greenery. Keep the gardens strong and make Vieja's outlet center green again, clean it back up and keep it that way. Lower the rents maybe on the shops so they can actually have good deals here and there then my rating would go to a 5 because I used to enjoy visiting every time I'm in town.

Went to the ice cream shop located behind the casino. Had a double scoop on Pecans and Carmel. It was creamy, dreamy, and fabulous.
