Nice new shop with new titles and a room with back issues and some collectibles. The only downside is there are no older books from Silver or Bronze ages if you are looking for them. Staff was friendly and helpful and assisted finding a couple books I was looking for.
An upside is they do carry some new titles from Image, Dark Horse, Dynamite, etc.

Great shop in uptown Whittier that's walking distance to/from many other stores and parks. Good selection of back issue comics, graphic novels, RPG books, etc. They also have a very well stocked room where you can set up podcasting for 15 bucks an hour. I make it a point to stop here whenever I'm in town on business or pleasure and picked up om ibis volumes one through six of The Boys

This is the best comic book shop within a 20 mile radius hands down...They don't overcharge when a book gets hot. As a matter of fact even if a book heats up they still sell it for cover price (AMAZING). Every book regardless if it's a comic, TPB, or hardcover comes in a bag and board at no extra charge! They offer a pull list that comes with a discount at NO CHARGE unlike some comic shops that have an annual fee. They have a lot of cool merchandise. They have a back issue room where you can dig through a lot of long boxes and find your treasure at cover price!They offer a cool podcast room that you can rent by the hour. The shop is located in Uptown Whittier which is a very cool place. But most importantly they have a great staff, never rude, always friendly. So if you are looking for a comic shop for a one time purchase or for a weekly pull list... UNDERCITY COMICS is your shop!!! 'NUFF SAID

Asked if they offered any sort of discount if I bought a lot of back issues and was met with "Why would I do that? Maybe if I were in a good mood." So I put down the comics I was going to buy and left.

Rene was a kind sweetheart and very helpful in making our choices. really appreciate the social distancing efforts and the kindness to inform us about a pull list for future issues. Their promos are super amazing and look forward to future visits.
*Update some years later and the service is always amazing! Excited to go back any chance I get.
