This is a wonderful market that has just about everything.  I have been a customer over 47 years and it's pretty much stayed the same. There is liquor and groceries and even an awesome jilberto's Mexican food take out.

Stolen Phone at VC Towne Market

Sadly, my phone was stolen on 7-26-22 from VC Towne Market. I was able to track it to the location until I turned it off. It NEVER left the store!! It was there from 2:20 until I remotely disabled it at 3:30. I had never been in this store before and will never go in again. It was VC Towne Market on the corner of Cole Grade and VC Rd. There is a whole back story to this next comment but they were completely unhelpful to say it kindly. They have video in the store that "cannot be accessed" except by the owner. The video records over itself every three days. I had been in that store EVERYDAY since it was stolen, asking if it was returned or if they could access the video footage. I filed a police report. This is a store that people go in and out of, spending no more than 10 minutes in. My phone was pinged there for over an hour. I was separated from it for no more than 2 minutes. This store does not have the feel that every other business I have been in, while I have lived in VC has. Definitely not a small town friendly market. Really too bad as every other experience I have had in VC bussinesses has been what you would expect of VC. I am all about supporting local businesses but if you can get it at another VC market...do so!!

Now, I have been going here for over 8 years now only because of convenience but after my latest experience here I will absolutely never shop there again. The owner is a racist theif and trust me when I say I do not throw those words around loosely whatsoever. I came in this morning to buy a couple cigars and I noticed that he had taken quite a bit longer to find a cigar for me than in the past so I hope go out open one of the cigars and I noticed the first third of the cigar past the tip was there's no tobacco in it. So I'm like okay, no big deal is a factory flaw, so I turn around go back into the shop and show the owner you know hey there's a factory flaw here and he looked at me like he expected me ti come back and say this abd has rehursed his responce and completely acted like it was my fault and he had no responsibility to replace it. Right away he said like what do you want me to do? I said just replace it and he's and he wouldn't and we being very negative. I was wondering why it took him so long to grab them and it was because he was looking for that cigar to sell to me to scam me. I've never had a good experience with this man I really am very agreeable individual, he's just for some reason always given me problems. Do yourself a favor and do not shop here, the prices are so high it could be considered theft just by that alone and the fact that the owner purposefully scammed me like that really put the nail in the coffin for me.

The Asian gentleman had a very bad attitude towards me, as if he was doing me a favor for working the register this has happened twice. With the other workers I feel welcomed! Not sure about going back there ☹️
