This was fun for Geeks & non Geeks alike! Besides the history and the fun of going so far underground it was great to see they have all the original equipment and a great tour that tells you all about what it was like to work her at the height of the cool war. Plus they filmed the Star Trek 8 movie First Contact here so that will bring out all the Geeks like me!!!!

I am an absolute rocket fanatic and this place is just amazing! Make reservations online for a tour, they will take you underground and explain everything about this historic facility. The tour is not long, maybe 45 minutes or so with a short video at the beginning, and then you can exit the underground silo and spend timewalking around the top side exhibits. A real part of history, so grateful that this was allowed to be left as is so we could appreciate something of the past.

This is absolutely my favorite time period to study. The Cold War, while terrifying at the time, is incredibly fascinating to learn about. That being said, DO NOT miss this experience! It’s the last remaining Titan II missile silo, and it’s such an awesome and immersive look into Cold War history. The tour is fantastic, complete with a reenactment of how the launch process would have worked, and yes you actually get to see the missile up close! It’s one of the coolest historical experiences I’ve had, and I highly recommend it to anyone even slightly interested in history or military tech.

Great experience. I’ve seen many things while in the Air Force, but never had the opportunity to visit a missile silo. Tour provided by Steve was very good, answered all our questions at the end. The main building and gift shop had numerous static display and historical timeline. Audio self paced tour available for above ground displays.

Hidden gem in southern Arizona! Had been on my list of places to visit for some time and this week had a chance to stop and visit! Intriguing! Interesting! Informative! Well worth the trip and small fee! Takes you back to a scary time in world history (The Cold War) and provides great information about the Titan II missile program and facilities that were successful because they never had to be used! Exhibits in the lobby area, a guided tour of the “hard facility” underground (control room, silo and missile), additional exhibits outside, and a gift shop. Plenty to see. Nearby Pima Air & Space Museum makes for another great stop!

We really enjoyed the tour and the historical site. Steve, a Tucson native, and our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Walking down into the silo was chilling and exciting to know it was once active. A great day trip for all Arizonans and out of state visitors.

This was really cool to see. I really enjoyed getting to go see the missile and being able to see everything underground. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. I highly suggest going to see it. They do small tours 6 to 7 times a day so buying tickets ahead is a must.

With this tour (reservations required) they take you underground and explain everything about this historic facility in a 45 minute tour. The tour starts with a short video at the beginning, and then you can exit the underground silo and spend time walking around the top side exhibits. A critical part of history, so grateful that this was allowed to be left as is so that future generations can understand the Cold War.
