I want to say good things, I really do that's my aim. But I have been let down so many times on this particular place. I've gone through the Salvation Army in cities like Tucson Arizona, they were so caring and it's like they will do a little extra, but here not so much.
I wanted to sign up for Thanksgiving dinner as I am out of town here in Santa Maria living in a vehicle. they could not accept me because of my emotional support dog. Just to sign up I had to be in the same line that everybody goes through for pantry assistance or utilities assistance, But that line was so long and it wasn't moving. 2+ hours....you can't be putting people in a line when there's no bathrooms, especially if you're a senior. I had to leave I wonder how many other people had issues with that. But they do have a set up for showers and a hot meal and whatever you think you may need set up outside the facility 3 days out of the week, I did use that service not to shower but for the hot meal and a warm hat/scarf. I can't get in the shelter, for a place to lay myself and my dog down. I can't get anybody to talk to on the phone I leave messages, many and they do not return my calls. I want to say good things but I can only be honest. I feel for those in the same boat as me, there are many coming up behind us. Many seniors are going to be displaced from their homes and not finding something they can afford because the rent is so high. so I am here to test the situation. I hope things get better here and Across the Nation for everyone in need especially the elderly. Election year is coming up I doubt much will change especially if you're not on the right political side, but I'll pray. Peace.

I love to go there. I went there a lot while I was homeless, and living on the street. I felt comfortable, and safe there. The people are very friendly, and the food is so good. You eat very well there, and you can take your leftovers with you.
