I’ve been shopping at Crazy Alan’s for five decades. It is the only and best source for excellent fountain pens and exceptional paper and ink. I love them. I am wheelchair bound and the new organization of the store makes it possible for me to navigate through the aisles. Whenever I need assistance, both in moving my wheelchair and in purchasing items, they have the very best customer service. It is a place I feel at home.

There's many reasons for all the 5 star reviews here. I had seen this shop from the outside for a decade and finally stopped in looking for a high quality pen to practice improving my penmanship. Not only did I find a pen, with help from the friendly, patient salesperson, but I also found a practice book and several neat and quirky gifts for friends and family. Worth stopping in even if you aren't looking for anything in particular, you'll find something (many things) of interest.

Highly recommend based on the wide selection of stationery, supplies, and writing instruments alone; but on top of that, Michelle and the rest of the staff members were super kind and helpful! Got two fountain pains, some ink, and a few other odds and ends, and definitely will be coming back for more! ☺️

I am coming from Raleigh, but I am so happy to have such an awesome stationery/fountain pen/art supplies shop within the triangle. This place is so good! They always have the latest selections of stationery and pen supplies, many of which are not widely available in US shops elsewhere. This is my alltime favorite store!

I shop regularly at Crazy Alan's. It's only a few miles from my house, so I'm very appreciative of what a great store it is. I like their pens, paper, cards, and puzzles. And office supply. And Michelle and John (the owners) are fantastic people. A pure delight!

My absolute favorite store! I love the NEW Crazy Alan's Emporium. There is such an amazing selection and it is so organized and well stocked! It's not just for office supplies, but ALL of your correspondents needs as well as for a wide range of fountain pen collectors! But what I really love most is how kind and knowledgeable both John and Michele are. They really want you to be happy with your purchase and are wonderful to bounce ideas off of in terms of what you might be thinking about or want to try.
