There was an elderly man with a British accent behind the counter who was rude, harsh and couldn’t care less about answering my questions about model paint. I decided to go to Homewood Toy and Hobby shop or somewhere else where they are interested in my business and have good customer service.

Awesome selection and fair prices. They had an excellent selection of tamiya, testor, and a few lacquer based paints. They also had a large selection of gunpla and tamiya models. The clerk was a nice guy and helped me out. I'll be back soon!

I really enjoy stopping by this store. They carry a very nice selection of Tamiya model kits, paint, and hobby tools. They also have a selection of Alclad II lacquer paints. Every week they get a new shipment of gunpla model kits and other bandai franchise model kits. Their prices are also very comparable or cheaper than a lot of online sellers, so that is very nice.

I see a lot of reviews about the owner being rude, but I have only seen him be professional, and maybe short and direct with other customers. But, my experience so far (8+ visits?) has been positive everytime.

This is (for me) easily the best hobby town in this area for my particular interests, so I'll be back many times in the future.

I would like to add, it would also be very convenient if you started carrying some Mr color lacquer paints as well!

The owner or one of the workers is rude and says that traxxas is not a good brand when it has the best websites and is one of the top companies in RC. They also do not sale anything traxxas. So if you are looking for both traxxas and horizon go to the oak mountain hobbies and toys. The people there are nice and do not down grade other RC companies.

Spent 3 hours here yesterday. One of the best hobby shops I have been in. Watched the owner spend countless time helping everyone that came in the shop, from the newbie to the guy that knew exactly what he wanted. Well stocked and extremely organized ! The owner won't ask how’s your mom and them, but he will help and answer your questions and only sell you what you need. He’s a man of few words but a world of knowledge and experience that you can’t find in many shops.

I bought one of the miniature Team associated trucks from here. I had it about 2 months and only charged it 4 times after that it never would charge again. I took it back and tried to explain to the guy at the counter what was going on but all he did was take the batteries out of the controller and said these are rechargeable they only have 1.3 v it supposed to have 1.5 to work. Well right away I knew he wasn't going to help me. He said go buy some good double A batteries. The thing ran before with the rechargeable ones and I actually changed the batteries when I seen it wasn't charging to energizer batteries and they didn't work.but he kept cutting me off telling me thats why it won't run was the batteries weren't big enough. Which is a crock.I asked if he had some batteries and he said no I'm out " remote control car store with no batteries?" So I asked what can I do if I change and they don't work and he said well I don't know well have to see. I just chalked it up as a loss. I'm not gonna keep driving 50 miles for the run around. He was just rude wouldn't listen to me.
