This place is amazing. Local artists, incredible customer service, and completely unexpected in this corner of Iowa. I grew up in this area and seeing this exist and thrive makes me happy. I bought an original piece and I usually only buy prints, but I would have been sad if I hadn't ever seen it again.

This well curated gallery offers a range of distinguished and tasteful paintings, to handcrafted artisan jewelry. Wife and I stopped by with 3 kids on the way through McGregor! Didn’t know if the kids would like it, or if the shop would like kids in there.

The shop was amazing and had something for everyone! The staff (didn’t catch her name) was incredible with the kids and kept them extremely engaged. Definitely worth the stop!

Really awesome artwork for sale here. Beautiful creations, my favorite being the paintings on leaves! When I first saw them, I thought someone had just painted a scene inside of an outline of a leaf that they painted. However, when I looked closer and saw it was a beautiful painting on a leaf, I was blown away!! They were too expensive for us to buy, but if they were around $20-40, I would have for sure bought the eagle one.

This has to be my favourite gallery and shop in the region! It has a stunning range of original arts and crafts by talented artisans all living within about 100 miles of McGregor. There is truly something for everyone in this beautifully stocked shop / gallery, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the art and the artists. If you're in the area, I would highly recommending visiting The Left Bank!

During a stop in McGregor, we visited The Left Bank and Gallery on Main St. We were pleased with the quality and variety of local artisan work and the community outreach classes to adults and children. We purchased gift items for others (and ourselves) and hope to have specialty items made to order. Staff are welcoming and willing to go the extra mile. It’s worth taking a few extra moments to check out the original bank safe.
