I love this place! The owner that I met is super cool too. I gave him lots of props for what they did to the place and taking such a risk for a business of this type in Downtown Novato.

Let's take it from the top.

When you enter the place, it is CLEAN! It like the owner has a background in interior handiwork. Wall trim, baseboards, column trim is all expertly done. The "Fortress" theme carries on in the interior with stone wall facades in the front and rear of the store. They also have little details like swords and flags hanging throughout the store.

A really nice touch.

They specialize in role playing games and host events where customers can come in and play together. I don't participate but I really support any type of community engagement.

They also have a wide range of board games, cards, figures, paints and even stuffy's!

Ite really an impressive place and even though i'm not a role playing type of person I will go out of my way to find a way to support this place whether it be to buy board games or stuffy's as a gift for friends or family or spread the word to other gamers.

This store is awesome! They listen to customer feedback and order games that they don't have in stock (which feels very few and far between as they have a HUGE stock!) immediately which leads to the product getting to their store in a timely manner. The employees welcome you in like a friend and have fostered an amazing welcoming culture in store because of it! I go in every Tuesday and Friday night to play Magic the Gathering and always leave with a smile on my face. I've also been shown new games I had never heard of because the owners and employees are very knowledgeable and able to recommend games that both my family and my boardgame fanatic friends greatly enjoy! I cannot recommend The Game Fortress enough!

This store is amazing!🤩 all kinds of board games, miniatures to paint, game tables for group card and board games, cute toys for my baby girl! Sean and Kyle are super friendly and helpful. I was so happy looking around. This is a great space for children, teenagers, and adults! Thank you!! 🎉🙏😀

This place is a gem. We recently dropped in to find some board games to have on hand while hosting out-of-town family. With help from the friendly, knowledgeable staff, we left with three that were big hits with kids and adults alike, a mix of casual and avid gamers. Over five nights of entertaining, our TV was only used once. 🙂 The store itself is clean, bright, modern, and in an easily accessed location in downtown Novato.
