This is the best game store on the west side of Houston! They have the best paint selection of any store I have been to. You can even paint a mini in store if you have time using their store paint options. A decent selection of board games to choose from and you can join in on a Friday session of board gaming if you want to play something new with fellow board gamer aficionados.

Every time I come here they got people playing some kind of ttrpg, wargame, or various collectibles card games on both gaming floors. Their discord is very active and hospitable to anybody. I truly appreciate them reconnecting me to more D&D players and having a dedicated room there that can be reserved for sessions. There is plenty of room and it even has a TV if you need to display a digital element to your session. They have tons of terrain pieces and mats that can be used for game sessions too, free of charge.

I am new to the Houston area and am looking ? for “my people”… Walking in to this store was the Smartest thing I have done all week…
I met Keri the store representative and she took pity on an old man being Friendly, Professional and very Helpful…
NO surly ? attitude (like Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons) here! This was a gamers paradise! And a pleasant experience…
She answered all my questions patiently, showed empathy to my situation, and provided Real answers!
That said… the D&D area was a little bit of “Slim pickings” but what with the release of the new Player’s Handbook, one could expect that… plus any modern shop can order you whatever you want…
Did you say D&D is not your game? Well, then THIS is the place for you! Plenty of tabletop and other games! Supplies for painters! And ample space with gaming areas!

The Forge is the best West Houston tabletop store! They have Warhammer, Killteam, Battletech, Fireteam Yankee, Nam, boardgames, etc. Also tables where you can chill and paint or play games. They have a ton of free in store terrain available, as well as many opened games you can demo!

Very interesting layout with both an upper and lower room for gaming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn't have what I was looking for though, which was a beginner painting kit with the model. They did have a lot of paint sets and single models and model kits. Absolute beginner stuff is hard to find in many gaming shops I've come to discover ... Maybe just an issue with the industry in general.

this place is awesome! loads of table tops and cards. they also have worked really hard to build a welcoming community instead of blocking people out. and as a girl, i've never been made to feel uncomfortable. i've been taught how to paint figurines, play magic and optcg, as well as blood bowl and a bit of 40k. they really help out us new players with how many experienced players they got. i also play dnd here! they really got it all. walked in today to a MASSIVE 40k tournament upstairs! 10/10 do recommend for the community and variety they have here.
