Nice new location in the Arcata Plaza, plus another one in Eureka. Great customer service, and they have space for students too. Computers, Cal Poly Humboldt and HSU merchandise; shirts, coffee mugs, etc. Great to look for gift ideas.

I can't say enough good things about my visit to HSU! I had such an amazing time...from the beautiful campus grounds, surrounding stunning landscape with its redwoods, the diversity rally in the Quad, watching the HSU debate team in action, the restaurants I visited ... the bookstore was a nice stop as well. Huge, clean, beautifully setup store. Adding a picture of the HSU t-shirt that I got from there that I love! 💗 Everyone is just so nice here.

HSU is my alma mater & I've been waiting to return for several years. All I can say is that I love the vibe of the campus & I wish I could make Arcata my home (maybe someday). I did some serious damage shopping at the bookstore but that was the purpose of our trip, so I got a lot of goodies from the bookstore. Friendly staff & great selection of merchandise for HSU alum & students.

Absolute worst experience ever here! Please save your money and buy your books on amazon. They sell books way overpriced here. I had the worst experience with Kaile. She forced me to buy a rental book that was given to me in disrepair and wouldn’t let me return it. She forced me to pay $85 for a book that’s worth $23 on amazon. Please save yourselves and do not come here. I am in shock that they have such horrible customer service.

I was calling just to check stock and price of a book when the women on the phone hung up on me before I could say anything else. I called again and this time was greeted with " This is the third day of the semester, you really shouldn't be doing this. I don't have time for this what book are you looking for?" I get that they are busy the first week of class but I don't think that warrants this kind of bad attitude. She did find the book for me though.

Nice store...expensive though. No customers were in the store except us and we were never greeted or spoken to. A lot of people probably prefer that...who knows?
