Staff guy is a vigilant observer. He makes you feel like a suspected shoplifter the whole time. Some items are interesting, some prices are high, some are very good deals. Not a comfortable shopping experience, though.

I've been here several times and usually enjoy looking around but hadn't found anything worth the price, however after my latest experience with the store owner/clerk being incredibly rude and condescending I won't waste my time coming back. There are other antique and vintage stores with friendlier staff and much better pricing in town, do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Editing to add: my personal experience was abysmal and I was treated poorly for having a conversation expressing my views that the owner butt into without invitation, I am sharing this so other members of the community don't share this experience. Feel free to be a jerk online all you want, it doesn't make you look better. It is also work mentioning I browsed the entire store with almost entirely complementary things to say, you chose to encroach on a conversation you weren't invited to where I expressed shock at the price given the damage to the furniture, you then chose to lecture me and call me names, that is what I would call rude. If you don't want people talking in your store put signs up saying so, I wasn't being loud by having a conversation with the people next to me.

Real high prices, seems kinda like an eBay reseller and unwilling to budge on damaged inventory that's been sitting for months

Edit: I do appreciate small businesses that are based in this reality but ones that obviously don't appreciate feed back, insert themselves in conversations and frankly seems sour about overpaying on junk. Hopefully no one should waste their time here and go down the street to Upscale Thrift

I have been to this store many times, and after my experience yesterday, I won’t be returning. If 0 stars was an option, that’s the rating this store deserves.

My friends and I spent the good part of an hour walking through the store and we had overall pleasant things to say about the store’s inventory. Towards the end of our visit, my friend commented on a piece of furniture that appeared to be from the 1960s /1970s MCM era. It was priced at $950 with visible water damage on the surface. My friend was shocked by the price for the current state of the furniture. This would have been a project piece to restore it for anyone interested. The owner of the store inserted himself into our conversation and said “it’s 100 years old DEARY. It’s allowed to look like that”. My friend said “ok, I’ll just leave.” And the owner continued to antagonize us as we left by loudly saying “you were being rude and loud in my store.”

It’s also important to note that my friend tried to purchase something earlier in the visit. It was a magazine rack that had been sitting in the store for MONTHS and was priced at $40 with missing bolts. The owner was unwilling to drop the price to $30. There are signs posted outside that they are not accepting new items. The reason they aren’t moving inventory is because they are overpriced and unwilling to bargain with customers, while also being atrociously unprofessional. Perhaps he was upset at my friend that he didn’t make a sale in his overpriced store? It’s a shame he missed out on future sales, because I had planned to come back for a different piece of furniture that was fairly priced at $350.

I am an avid thrifter and a huge supporter of small businesses. Use the power of your purchase by going to a small business that values its customers. I fully expect the owner to leave a passive-aggressive, self-righteous response, as he has done so for many years with other unsatisfied customers.
