Google says this location is closed temporarily, I hope it's permanent. I visited one time only, and was so unimpressed I don't even want to shop with Tandy anymore. Another reviewed mentioned the staff seeming to hate their jobs, and it was spot on. The Staff here Do. Not. Care.

I've visited Tandy locations out of state, the staff there trip over each other trying to help you. They host classes and ask you about your projects and they show you projects they've done, because they love what they do and the business of leathercraft.

The workers here look like the closest they've come to leather craft is eating a hamburger.

Additionally there was a younger angry employee here physically shoving the other workers around the store. It was very disturbing. I didn't stay after witnessing that.

EDIT: I revisited this store three years later, out of desperation more than anything else. I was not looking forward to the visit.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the store was well stocked, there were more than two employees in the store, we were greeted when we arrived and asked if we needed help. The checkout person was much more courteous then my last visit.

I would rate them higher but it was actually difficult to tell who was a customer and who was an employee in the store - and as I have mentioned, other stores have gone more out of their way to help me.

Even if you think you are not into leather crafting, visit the store and I guarantee their products will make you want to try it! They have a huge assortment of leather and hides, plus tools and accessories.

This shop has a ton of great choices for leather. Anything from thick, heavy oz pieces to thin garment type material and the prices are reasonable. The staff were both friendly and helpful. They also have pretty much any tool you could need for finishing your project. I'll definitely come back.
The storefront faces away from the 215 freeway so enter from Cam Real or drive around the building.

I love this store. Everything I need and want for my leather projects is there. Great selection of tools, accessories, and leather. The staff is friendly and willing to help if you have questions. Otherwise you are free to explore and check stuff out. Buy a membership if you are going to shop there frequently, it will save you money in the long run. For birthdays and holidays ask for tandy gift cards.

Just walking into this store is fun! The leather smell is wonderful. I buy metal rings from this store; they have so many options of metals, leather stamps, and leather paints/stains. And of course leather! The store space is an open floor plan so it's easy to stay 6 feet away from other customers. Everything is reasonably priced.
