This is a tiny little shop that's easy to miss but hard to forget. Fantastic smell permeate the entire room. It was surprising and refreshing to see the shop being operated by a man and he (Rick or Ryan, I forget) was extremely pleasant in disposition and knowledgeable of everything in the store and attentive.

Most importantly, I can't even say that their products are fairly priced. Everything that I asked about was UNfairly priced, in favor of the consumer! I couldn't believe the number I was told when I inquired about a bottle of lavender essential oil. And their soaps are incredibly inexpensive for their quality, and are even cheaper if you are willing to accept physical imperfections.

My only qualm is that it is hard to actually get in the store due to their limited hours, but that's not enough for me to not give them a 5/5 for my experience once I was able to actually get in there.

Please support this wonderful local business if you are at all able to do so.

I was gifted with Salts and Soaps by my very generous niece, Nicole, when she visited me in Idaho last May. I had the privilege of traveling to Syracuse last month. One of the places I had to visit was Syracuse Soap! I had the honor of meeting Rick, the proprietor! I brought back all of the gifts I could carry for the people I left behind to care for my dog and shuttle me to and from the airport! It was one of the best experiences! The fragrance alone upon entering Rick’s quaint store filled with artifacts was enough to bring me back!
Thanks, Rick! You are a treasure to Syracuse!

Vast collection of eclectic items in a cozy atmosphere. A nice selection of special gifts, pottery, mittens and jewelry for any occasion.
Unusual and imaginative hand made items of all shapes and sizes. The fragrance hits you the second you open the door. Both liquid and bar soaps are dreamy. It's definitely worth the trip.

My boyfriend and I visited the shop today to browse and we were greeted by the friendliest guy ever who casually chatted with us and informed us on different things we were looking at like soaps and salt. He gave me a recommendation for the espresso flake salt by Syracuse salt co (to try it on red meat or ice cream). So I bought some, we had the salt on our burgers which was pretty good. And then we tried it on vanilla bean ice cream and omg it is so delicious! It enhances the ice cream flavor and the vanilla somehow brings out a different ingredient you can’t taste when it’s on its own. 10/10 recommend this cute, super welcoming, clean, organized, local art supporting shop and the delicious salt. We will be back to try more of the Syracuse salt co salt!

I LOVE Soapworks! A great product at a reasonable price, and both the soap and the lotions are great for sensitive skin. The store is lovely with a nice selection of locally produced goods, and the proprietors are very nice. They also do mail order, and the customer service on that is great as well. A little out of the way, but well worth the trip!

This is amazing soap. I highly recommend it to everyone! I love that they use all natural products when making the soap and they are environmentally friendly. I have saved so much money not having to buy lotion because this soap leaves my skin soft and full of moisture. I love all of the "flavors" but my favs are lavender and citrus.
