A very good model train hobby shop close to the airport. They had a bunch of new and used N, HO, O and G scale trains, scenery and hobby supplies as well as repair services.

Great train shop lots of variety and stock of items. I have been going to the Switch- Stand since I was a kid when they where in maplewood mo. I purchased many items for my layout from them. They are very good at repairs, helping figure out what track I needed and wiring need to get my new layout running.

By far the worst model train store ive been to. They have a relatively small selection which normally wouldn't be a problem but the people working here seem to be very unfriendly. They didn't talk to us when we came in and only interacted with us to tell us not to touch the controls on a model train set thats out in front.

Id go to any of the other train stores in the STL area first.

Good selection of products. Always nice to see accessories in person. Old guy in back seemed more interested in the computer than saying good morning. Sad really. Other reviews speak of friendly service, I believe them. Unfortunately was not my experience. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day. For a novice railroader, this could be very discouraging. I most likely will not return.

Great customer service. Was very friendly and helpful. He fixed my train for free only because it was a small fix. He seems to know a lot more about trains than other store owners. He had a ton of train stuff. I would recommend going here in the feature.

Nice selection of trains but overpriced. Second time to the store neither of the times I went did the employees acknowledge us or asked if we needed assistance. Will not come back. 🙁

The owner was so nice. He asked me what I needed and fixed it right away. I seems to know a lot more about trains than most store owners would. I would highly recommend this store to other feature customers.
