If I could give 0 stars, I would, and that hurts to say because I have loved going to Sweet Street ever since I was younger.

Recently, I went back again and tried their gelato and bought a toxic waste candy.

First off, I was looking at the toxic waste packaging because I thought it looked cool, and the expiration date said that it EXPIRED the month I bought it (April). That in itself is enough for me to call and ask for a refund, but that wasn’t all.

I wish I was making this up, but when I was eating the gelato, I bit down on something hard. Thank god I did not swallow it because when I spit it out, it was a part of a HUMAN FINGERNAIL. I wanted to puke, it was disgusting.

So I called the store because I was already heading home and the lady who answered was nice enough, but told me they couldn’t give me a refund. She said I could go back and get more gelato, but sorry I don’t want more of the ice cream I just found a human nail in? I was really disappointed in their lack of costumer service and their inability to give a refund where I feel is necessary and expected. I wont be going here again.

I love this place. It has pretty much any sweet you can think of including those older candy bars from years past. A definite must-visit if you happen to be in the area.

I’m not from this town, but this cute little candy store can definitely catch your eye!
Everything from salt water taffy, movie theatre candy, nostalgic, an entire wall of sours, baggies to fill up an arrangement of candies as well! It’s so colorful and bright. There’s no way you can’t be in a happy mood going into a candy store. Every now and then when I come out to visit, I stop by and sometimes they seemed to be under staffed. But they are still always polite and friendly, and always so warm and welcoming. I know it’s just a candy store, but it’s not your basic gas station candy.

I cannot resist stopping in here. It started out with me taking my cousins here after school on special occasions. Then I started taking them here frequently. Now I come here all the time without them. Awesome little spot with different selections of candy and ice cream. Every once in a while I'll grab a coffee mug or two as gifts...or for myself ?

Wednesday evening at 7:45pm > So, we asked to try one of the peppermint cremes. Instead of giving us a piece, the person behind the counter ate one herself and told us how good it was. We thought that was really odd, but we still purchased a bunch of chocolate. We asked for boxes and the young lady was fumbling boxes...didn’t know where certain boxes were. Then, she weighed the chocolate with the boxes. Lastly, if we didn’t put ourselves through enough, I asked to buy five pieces of fudge. She didn’t know how to charge the fudge. She first thought to weigh them...after asking if that was right, she charged $5 per each little piece of fudge. This place is a joke, over priced and highly disorganized. Go to Danville chocolates or Chcoloate Works in San Ramon.
