Sweet Seconds has some great stuff, and I love shopping used for kids toys and clothes, but it’s not my favorite for a couple reasons.

There is so much stuff. It’s honestly overwhelming and hard to sort through. I always see items that are on the unapproved brands or items per their website, which adds to the clutter.

The website and social media (facebook) are not accurate for consignment seasons. On two occasions when I have tried to drop off items to consign, the sign on the door has stated they are not accepting consignments, even though the website says they are accepting consignments. One of those times, the sign on the door was incorrect and I could drop off items. The other time, I couldn’t drop off items. I always check the website and social media before I pack up things to consign, so it’s frustrating when I spend time sorting through clothes only to find I can’t drop them off. I fully understand that all consignment shops need to put a pause on drop-offs from time to time, but at least announce it on your website or social media. I guess your only way to know if consignments are being accepted is to call before you drop off, and in this case it seems unnecessary to also have a website and social media with incorrect information.

When consigning, you are charged a fee if your item is not on a hangar. That’s fine (although not typical of other children’s consignment shops I’ve sold at, but not a big deal), however when you buy clothes, the shop keeps the hangar. Hangars aren’t expensive, but out of principle this annoys me.

Sweet seconds is worth checking out for clothes and toys, but make sure you call to confirm they are taking items before you consign.

Gorgeous clothes, cool toys, coupons printed on the receipts!! I'm in love with this store!! It's a children's consignment so there aren't items for the grown ups but their selection for kids is out of this world!

Tons of great stuff! Prices are a little higher (not too far off) than I would expect for consigned boutique and trunk clothing, but will definitely visit again.
