I hired Sneidman's to engrave my husband's wedding ring. When we were there inquiring they assured us that they could do a colon (:) as part of the inscription, and we clearly stated to them that that was the reason that we went there over other jewelry stores, because the few other places we had checked did not have the capability of inscribing a colon.

I returned to pick up the ring, and the engraving was very disappointing. The words did not line up together, and they omitted the colon as well as the dash (-) that I had written out for my inscription when I dropped the ring off. The (?)owner stated that he had been unable to accomplish these characters on his engraving machine. I was never notified of this until I showed up to pick up the ring and pay for it. And I was still expected to pay for the engraving work that they had incorrectly completed. I felt deceived and cheated as I left.

I hate to give a poor review for a small town business, but I was very disappointed with both the work and the service, especially for such an important piece of jewelry to us. Would not recommend.

Wonderful people and products, I always see something I want!. Was there again today to buy a birthday present, found just what I wanted. A good "hometown" business. One of the few places left to get old & antique clocks repaired.

A family heirloom mantle clock was entrusted to the care of Sneidman’s. When my father returned to pick it up, he was told that it had been “Broken.” When he got home it was discovered the key was not returned. Additionally when a call was made by my mother to discuss the lost key, she inquired about the comment that the clock had been broken. Owner denied ever saying this, insinuating that it was us who lied.

After three trips to the store to pick up our “presumed” key, I was looked in the eye and told on the fourth trip that he had traveled to a clock maker and had obtained “our” key. When I delivered the key to my father he explained it was not the key.

I returned to the store a last time to explain that I had contacted said clock maker and confirmed that the key given to us was a “replacement” key. I explained that had he in the 1st place explained what had happened, despite my distress of the loss, we would have had more respect for truth and honesty.

We now have serious concerns about the transactions and feedback we have received about our clock. I strongly suggest you explore other options and local stores before you go here.

I went in to get my watch battery changed. I own a high-end watch, so I'm apprehensive about doing it myself. They did it for free, when I was charged 40 bucks for a battery change in Philly. Really nice people!

Do not go here if you have jewler's insurance. The owner claimed he accepted insurance and that he understood the insurance would pay him once I contacted them that the ring was repaired and in good condition. But a couple of days later when my fiancé and I went to get the ring he refused to go through our insurance, even though they had sent him a letter and he had previously agreed, and demanded we pay him the $50 out of our pockets right there and then or he would not return my engagement ring. If prior to repairing my ring, he had said he would not go through insurance we would have taken our business else where to someone to complies with the insurance company. Our insurance is through Gieko, and he claimed he could not trust if our insurance was a scam or not even though Gieko is a multimillion dollar insurance firm and they had sent him a letter informing him of the insurance and procedure for payment.

I don't know why Sneidmans doesn't have a 5.0 score because they are excellent .I purchased a beautiful chain from them for a great price and I could not be happier. They are very knowledgeable and courteous and have a a great selection of jewelry if they don't have what your looking for they can order it !

My beau stopped in to have his watch repaired. It was completed in less than an hour. Very inexpensive, great turn around time, and wonderful customer service! Hooray for small towns and local businesses!
