Good range of stuff with some excellent prices, a lot of staff on floor that would have probably helped if I had a query, sadly my 5yo was basically in heaven so was running around thinking he could buy the whole shop. We got the items we needed, and headed for the tills. The only tills on were 2 on the tech counter and both assistants were helping with returns so taking ages, I went to find one of the many on the floor and asked if they could help lessen the queue. They did and helped get it down quickly. Good, but watch for the people that want to pay... (I didn't help as the cheap glider my son picked up was the display!). Good store.

Very large toy store a kids heaven. Sells a vast range of toys,bikes and climbing frames. Has a good range of lego, marvel figures, my little pony to name just a few . Has a baby equipment section at the back also has a gaming section. Sells a range of puzzles and kids books and colouring pens and pencils. Disney, Harry Potter, Barbie ,games are all there. Seemed clean and in well order.

Shox Wake

It's a reasonable price toy shop, sadly there aren't many left , so it's here or online, occasionally you may find offers in supermarkets, Smyth's is a good place to get video games and consoles as the prices are very competitive. The choice is good and if you are looking for inspiration for ideas for children this is a good place to start. They have some amazing deals and it handy to actually see the physical products rather than the pictures online.

Went in today with my partner for some information regarding car seats, prams and other equipment needed for a new born, we were looked after by Keeley and she was knowledgeable and gave us loads of support and answered all the questions we had, we were made to feel welcome and was given a lot of time. Absolutely fantastic experience and we were made to feel so welcome. Prices were reasonable and we could get absolutely everything we needed, will definitely be returning to this store.

What a massive toy shop! I’ve been in other Smyths branches locally, but none are as truly vast as the Rotherham shop.

Feeling like a veritable wonderland of toys, the aisles are long and the shelves are stack high with toys of all shapes, sizes, and prices. Though we were only looking for one specific item, we just had to have a wander around and see what other goodies were available in this Aladdin’s cave of toys.

With everything from board games, bikes, wooden toys, electronic games, and more, Smyths is the sort of place kids dream of. Though they didn’t have stock of the item we were after, staff were friendly and helpful, telling us when to expect new stock and advising we “click & collect” for this popular item.

Would have a friendly member of staff but not this time .

I went yesterday to buy bag of sand. I was directed to a place where bags were stored. I looked and said that it looks different to one I always buy; the employee informed that it's the same one, they just changed the packaging. I came home, opened a bag, dried the sand (I needed it dry) and noticed that my hands are covered in glitter and sand leaves weird feeling on hands. The sand I used to buy did not have anything like that. I checked online and it turned out it's totally different brand, it's not the same product. I was lied in a shop. I can't use the sand I got yesterday, so I have to give it to someone and buy the correct one... I am very disappointed with customer service...

Today I went to the parkgate store and was welcomed by Richard I think his name was at the car seat area, he gave me lots of knowledge about car seats and the safety etc advised me which was the best for my child, he also fitted it in my car so it was all done correctly
I don’t normally leave reviews but he went above and beyond to help me today
