Went here for Christmas shopping, as you know during the Christmas spirit the kids get excited. After bouncing a ball and being told to stop ( which the kids did immediately) we were followed persistently by the security guard after being told to do so by a member of staff. For the next twenty minutes while trying to buy Christmas presents for the younger kids, we were followed through EVERY isle by the male security guard, as women and girls we were extremely uncomfortable by this behaviour, especially when the staff workers were also staring at us like they were “keeping an eye out”. We expressed our feelings about how uncomfortable we were to a member of staff, and yet they did nothing.

My daughter then proceeded to innocently take a snap chat, documenting the presents she was excited to give her younger siblings, soon after that we were kicked out. Accused of taking videos of other people! Even though we offered to show the videos that were taken, we were still told that we needed to leave!

I cannot believe this is how Smyths Toys are now! I’m so disappointed about the behaviour we received from the security guard and members of staff. All my children did was bounce a ball and yet we were followed around like criminals!

Unfortunately I cannot see us returning here in the future, and I would suggest neither of you do either if you’re planning on taking your children.

Very bad experience and very bad customer service .
Me and My wife visited the store to purchase a car seat for our daughter, but the customer service was shockingly poor.

One of the staff members was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of assisting my wife properly, she left her to attend to another customer without explanation and spoke to her in a very harsh and unkind manner. My wife felt completely ignored and disrespected during the entire interaction. We ended not buying the car seat due to the disrespectful way .additionally she was trying to convince us that we can not return the car seat !! which is not a part of return policy !!

As a store that caters to families and children, I expected a much higher standard of service. Unfortunately, this experience has left us with a negative impression of the store, and we will seriously reconsider shopping here again in the future.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that staff are trained to treat all customers with respect and care.

A large store which is stocked from floor to ceiling with everything a child could wish for. I wanted a mermaid doll and a set of toy tools. I got both things I wanted at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful and right outside the store entrance.

Went to collect a rather large item today, that was a Christmas present for my grandson. I
was served by Harvey he helped me and carried the item for me and put it in my car

Their selection of toys is alright. Today I asked a worker if they had sold out of a particular toy. The person just stood there staring at me and my daughter because they didn’t know what the toy was. But made no attempt to find out or help. Just stood there staring. Then shrugged their shoulders and continued to stand their staring. Hahaha? Anyway I found it extremely rude and incompetent. It caused my daughter embarrassment as well.

On the site of what used to be ToysRUs, this store caters mainly for the toddler and young junior end of children

Nowhere near as good as the Toys R Us store and less choice.

Disgusting service! I bought two bikes for my daughter and son and paid £20 for the assembly service. The guy in the bike lane gave me the bikes in a rushed manner and said, 'Look, everything is working.' However, just two days later, after only a few hours of riding, the bikes started showing faults. Some of them were major, like the brake cables disconnecting and the steering being unstable, moving up and down. I returned them for repair service, and they took the bikes and my information, promising to call me when they were ready. Two weeks later, I decided to pop into the store to inquire about the bikes, and to my surprise, they said they couldn't do anything. They claimed that the bikes were in bad condition and I had to take them as they were. I spoke with the manager, explained everything, and complained about the lack of communication. They never called me, and I had to drive 20 minutes to ask about my bikes. Finally, the manager attempted to fix what he could in just 10 minutes.

Overall, terrible service !

Misleading toy packaging. "New born baby" toy without baby. One disappointed kid.
