I wanted to gift a watch to my boyfriend so he could keep a family heirloom safe from everyday wear. The team at Shinola Venice greeted me with warmth and were very passionate about their products.

Heather showed me their audio lounge and offered to host a surprise shopping experience for my bf. We picked out 5 watches that were in my budget and the style I knew he’d like, and she let me pick his favorite music from their record collection.

I brought him in a week later pretending we were just browsing Abbot Kinney, Heather had everything set up in their room behind the secret bookcase with the record player on and the watches I picked laid out. My boyfriend was speechless! He picked the gold Runwell chronograph, wears it everyday, and still talks about the experience.

I needed a watch to replace my late father's that I always wore. Heather created a shopping experience that I have never had before or since. It sounds like hyperbole but I'm serious. She let me take my time in choosing the right watch and was knowledgeable about each piece and its history. I came away with a watch that still honored my dad’s piece while adding some extra comfort and flair. So good!

I love the watches but Shinola’s leather watch bands went down in quality. They’re mediocre and made out of cheap leather that comes apart a year later (just out of warranty). Get the watch here but the watch strap somewhere else

I stopped in to browse a few times, the team was all so passionate about the brand I decided to take home a leather duffle bag that I know I’ll have for years. Heather offered us drinks, showed off their hidden audio lounge, and monogrammed the bag strap to personalize it for me. Everyone on their team was professional and fun. Definitely one of my most memorable moments on Abbot Kinney, and Heather is one of the most pleasant people I’ve had the pleasure shopping with.

I rarely write reviews, but this was such a disappointing and uncomfortable experience that I felt compelled to share.

I visited the store and found a watch I liked. The initial salesperson told me the price was $750. When I asked if I could swap the strap for a black one, another employee assured me it wouldn’t be an issue if I purchased it that day. He went to check with the manager.

When the manager Heather came out, the tone immediately shifted. In a passive-aggressive manner, she informed me that the employee had made a mistake — the watch was actually $950. She then went on to explain why the strap swap couldn’t happen, continuing the same unpleasant tone.

At that point, it wasn’t about the price difference but the principle. I walked out, disappointed by the unprofessionalism. This is not the level of service I expect from a “reputable” brand.

Very friendly staff!
All staff were very helpful and resourceful. You’ll get the experience you’d have at a high end European luxury brand stores, with a true and true American company. The store is very welcoming and engaging. I had some watches that needed battery change. The Watch repair expert was very helpful and professional. She explained the process and finished 4 watches in under 45 minutes. I also bought a pen and the sales associate went above and beyond call of duty to honor my military status. I appreciated everyone!

Just took my watch to the AK store this morning when it opened, for a battery replacement.

The two people who helped me were fantastic and assured me that I could have it back in time for my flight to Vancouver tomorrow morning.
