If you take public transportation, you need to walk quite a bit. Need to be a little more careful walking there. The scrap itself was great! I found some sewing notions and fabric. This place has a lot of treasures for crafters, teachers and hobbyist.

Truly a gift for anyone who has a crafting hobby. The yarn selection is constantly rejuvenated and I find much of what I need here. There are a lot of fun and interesting little random supplies that are rotating every week. Also they keep inventory rather organized and it seems to have a good range of quality which are appropriately priced. You are not going to overpay for ANYTHING here and the only downside of going in is trying to find room for it all when you get home. Hoarders (and crafting supplies still count at a certain point) stay away!! You will never be able to stop. I'm addicted and I will go in and decimate an entire section sometimes, but barely pay a fraction of what is fair. They are evil enabling fairies of some cabalistic group or other... it's as though they want to make sure you may even someday say, "I think I have enough crafting supplies now."

I should be ashamed to tell you how glorious it is but you will know once you see it in person that I am really just being evil by helping to bury you in scrapbook and stationary and fabric, jewelry and stamps and glass and wood and cute little boxes and, and, and... EVERYTHING!!! 🤩😍

I was so excited to be in this place!! This place is such a chaotic art place and inspired me. This vibe resembled Japanese artistic stores in Shibuya, such as Village Vanguard or Don Quixote. The staff seems very professional in organizing stuff and discussing each other in the team. I was curious about beautiful $2 yarn, so I’ll buy it after I finish my current knitting projects.

This place is AMAZING! Specifically, if you're a crafter or an artist. There is so much to see! I probably could have gone through the whole place 5 times and still wouldn't have seen everything. Make sure you don't take someone that isn't a natural browser or explorer - you'll regret it if you do.
The items they stock are incredibly varied and pretty well organized once you understand their system. They get a lot of donations from companies cleaning out their warehouses, so some items are commercial grade and unopened. There's many materials that are simply unavailable to consumers, so that's a major bonus too. The sheer amount of variety can be overwhelming so go in with a plan. The entire store is a well of inspiration. Prices are fantastic, which is amazing considering a vintage pair of non Levi's in SF runs about $450.
If you live locally, you can take advantage of some really cool classes they offer that are taught by real artists - some are well known even.
Don't delay a trip to this amazing shop containing a cornucopia of curious and delightful goods!

I’ve been coming here on and off for over 20 years. Place is a little hard to get to and the parking lot is sketchy however does that really matter when you can go to a place that is diverting huge amounts of usable items into ridiculously cheap materials for art or other creative products.
I’ve never taken a class here or use any of the other services that they have. But I have gotten wonderful greeting cards, dead stock fabric, and various other things. Highly recommended.

I can't believe I haven't written a review before for this gem. I've been here maybe 8 times and every single time it's a magical treasure hunt. Things are well organized and I'm surprised how often I find the exact item I'm looking for; such a great way to save money on craft and office supplies, have fun, and be kinder to the planet too. 13/10, no notes.

Go-to craft supplies spot, when I have a project — or when I don’t, and want some inspiration! Fantastic range, from yarn and fabric, to old photos and slides, to drawing tools and paper — because their supply is based on donations, you never know what you’ll find.

On my most recent Scrap trip, i brought home 5 photo frames with glass intact (one brand new Aaron Brothers 16x30 wooden frame, normally $40), along with a bunch of other stuff (stationary, drawing pads, notebooks, wooden spoon), for $15😎

Love the variety of what you can find inside. The only issue is the parking, no accessible parking it's all street and unfortunately there are homeless encampments up and down the street. The area feels unsafe. But inside there are many treasures to be found.
