I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the loss of my Maui Jim prescription sunglasses during my recent visit to Rockford Art Deli. While purchasing a sweatshirt at your store, I accidentally left my sunglasses behind. When I realized my mistake, I promptly contacted your team, who confirmed they had my sunglasses and assured me they would be held securely for pickup. My name was clearly printed on the frame, making them easily identifiable.

Since I had already returned home to Philadelphia, I informed your staff that my son—who had just welcomed a new baby—would pick them up the following week. However, when he arrived, the sunglasses were nowhere to be found. This has caused me significant distress, as these were high-end Maui Jim frames customized with my personal prescription.

I am extremely disappointed by the failure to safeguard a customer’s belongings, particularly after I was assured they would be kept safe. While I do not work in retail, I do work in healthcare, where we take great care in securing any personal items left behind until their rightful owner can retrieve them. I would have expected the same level of responsibility from your establishment.

Just spoke with Abe. She stated that she threw them out after two weeks—$400 Maui Jim frames with prescription lenses. Donating the eyeglass frames would have been a far more appropriate action than discarding them. I’m awaiting a call from the owner.

After 5 business days apparently the owner, Jerod, was not interested in returning my call so I gave up and decided to take the Google review approach. Perhaps that will garner some attention.

Great tshirt shop! Friendly service. Tshirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, stickers and more. Shirts printed in house. Quality material. Baby sizes as well.

Very cool store, with mostly shirts, many of which show Rockford pride in cool ways. Bought the sock monkey King Kong shirt and then saw 100 ppl wearing it and other shirts around town. Was a great souvenir from my visit. Cool cool place, wish every city had one.

Awesome Rockford based clothing store . Love the style, fit, and look of RAD t-shirts especially all the old Rockford based businesses logos. The free prints are also RAD !!

I've ordered from RAD several times and am always amazed by how fast the shipping is. Also been in the store, staff is wonderful! The clothes are top quality and so creative. Would definitely recommend shopping here!!!!!
