Amazing experience and I would not hesitate to go back for future framing needs! Everything from cost to service and quality was top notch. The owner has excellent taste and was able to recommend the perfect frame + material to complement our art piece. Can't say enough good things about the owner and the shop!

Wonderful experience. They took one look at the painting and suggested a modern framing style using mid-priced materials that would be appropriate for the style and not break the bank. The results were excellent — stylish, well-constructed, and on-time. Much thanks!

This shop is a great find if you're looking for one of a kind artwork (I haven’t gotten anything framed yet but now I know where to go!). I was recently on the peninsula and happened to walk by this shop. The owner was so friendly and helpful - he thoughtfully answered my questions and gave me the space to browse without feeling any pressure. I ended up buying a gorgeous ceramic mosaic that he had hand selected in Turkey. I will definitely be recommending this place to others and I’ll be coming back whenever I need something framed.

This shop is beautifully curated and their frames truly are a work of art in themselves. The owner has an incredible eye for design and a background in engineering, which result in the most unique framing work I've ever come across. I no longer live in the area, but still send my most special art to be framed by them when I can.

Amazing service! The owner is super knowledgeable and you can tell that he’s very passionate about art. I recently brought in a large piece to be framed and was a little worried because the artwork had been previously damaged. Not only did the owner recommend an amazing restorer in Oakland but he offered to bring the art to the restorer for me! I never expected that level of service. The final product (restoration + framing) was very professionally done and I am so happy with the quality of workmanship.

Great shop with beautiful antiques and art. Have had numerous pieces of art framed here (in fact I still send my art to him even though I’ve moved out of state!) and have been beyond happy with each job. Mahmut is an absolute expert in his craft. He’s also super friendly and great to work with.

They can do great work, and I’ve had great work done there for what I still consider a fair (if hefty) price. I wanted to get something new and bigger done, and I walked in asking what the price would be. I told the owner that I had gone to a reputable shop in Boston, which gave me a price of $785 (frequented by celebrities and judges), which I had decided not to do, because I wanted something a little more creative and I had to travel to San Diego. Worth noting that *that* store owner back in Boston had worked with me in SEVERAL options, knowing I might not eventually do the work there. *This* owner here in Palo Alto had a totally different and somewhat snobby attitude. He said that he could never do the job for anything less than $1,200, and looked at me incredulously when I told him about the other quote, saying that if I wanted something cheaper and ‘glued to the back’ I should go to Michael’s (who also do great work for the price). That is just an erroneous account of what the other store had promised to do (sew to a fabric matte and give me museum-grade glass). So I left, and have decided to take my business elsewhere.

The guy is good when you get him for a reasonable price, I’ll say clearly, but the attitude was totally unwarranted and turned me off to ever going back. Given price comps I’ve been making, the fact of the matter is that he’s almost certainly gouging you if you’re doing anything larger in size, and he’s going to try his best to make you feel like you have no taste if you take the same materials on the same job for half (or even less) of the price. I’m not paying four digits to frame something that could be done the same elsewhere for much, much less, and I recommend you take care to think if it’s worth it if he ever tries to pull the same stuff with you. Good luck!
