This is hands down the best comic shop I’ve ever been to. The decor is phenomenal and it’s a very fun environment. It feels like there’s so much to do, whether it be playing on a pinball machine or sitting in a little nook and reading a comic! I went during their comics creator block party and it was so fun and incredibly well organized. I highly recommend visiting this store!

This place is gem mint 10! ? A true gem of LA. Fantastic comics plus many new pinball machines — and someone there has some seriously good music taste as well. Great vibe and nice playlist, Revenge Of!

I gotta say, I’m honestly quite impressed with this hybrid shop. In separate parts it would make a decent little comic book shop or arcade or whatever ther back area is, game room? But as a whole it’s impressively done.

Upon entering you’ll find a somewhat cramped comic book shop space. Filled to the brim with collectibles, accessories and of course comics. They have just enough to cover the major publications as well as some indies and paperbacks as well. The counter/cashier space has snacks and other smaller tchotchkes you can buy and it’s all designed quite well with the built in references to pop culture. There’s also a nice small reading/chilling nook at the end of the comics aisle with plenty of light to do reading.

Moving further into the complex, you’ll find the main pinball hallway packed with a GREAT selection of cabinets. All of which look to be serviced frequently and well maintained. Which is absolutely CRUCIAL for any pinheaded or fanatic. Following them on Instagram will keep you updated on free pinball nights (select machines will be set to free play to sample), new additions and tournaments as well. Definitely one of the best and maintained pinball collections in the L.A. area and the reason I came. Why bother going to Walt’s at this point you know? (If ever). Prices are around 2-4 tokens though so you will be spending a bit to be able to sample more than a few machines.

The final room is a larger space with another counter shop with drinks and a few more pinball cabs and bins of books with plenty of seating to chill and read or for your game nights.
All in all I was deeply impressed by the amount of care, love and detail that went into this place. My one single caveat and this is mostly a machine issue not theirs; the change machine allows for Apple Pay but if you just scan your Apple device on it, it will automatically charge you for $20 worth of tokens. It was a bit of a shock but as I was going to stay and play it wasn’t much of an issue. I just wish I had learned that you need to set the price first before tapping. The machines are a bit costly but it makes sense given the condition they’re in and the cost of maintaining them. All worth it in my opinion.

Plenty of parking in the area, with plenty of places to get snacks, food or drinks before or after stopping by.

Revenge Of, is a comic book/collectibles/pinball machine paradise. Ensconced In the streets of Eagle Rock/Glassell Park. This place is a hip, vibrant den of comic/pop culture cool. They host pop-ups every month or so with a featured artist. Plus, they have a pretty nice hall full of great pinball games. They host league nights for pinball as well. An awesome Comic Shop. Revenge Of is a refreshing and visually fun shop. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. From the moment you walk in you find the design fun and different. The comic-book displays are made to look like produce coolers that you would see in a grocery store. Along with this design they cleverly use the term "Fresh" over the new release comics.
But wait there's more! An arcade Pinball room! Yup, after cruising through comics you can purchase a beverage and indulge in some fun Pinball play. It's well-spaced fitting over 10+ different themed Pinball games. I enjoy the Godzilla, Universal Studios Monsters, and the Scooby-Doo Pinball machines.
I highly recommend a visit to this stand-out comic shop

This place is pretty awesome. I was telling my girlfriend when we stopped by with her 14 year old son, that it’s nice that some gen x’ers like us (I assume) have created shops like this one, with pin ball machines, comics and coffee bars that make this a cross generational experience. It’s worth a stop, for sure.
