Retro Dimension is a great store. All the games are neatly organized and very clean. They have a vast selection of games for all kinds of consoles including obscure ones such as the Neo Geo and Turbografx-16. If you collect or enjoy playing retro video games, I highly recommend this store. Let's support our local businesses. I've known the owner since before he opened up his stores. He is a great guy and is passionate about video games. Here is a picture of my latest purchase from the store of a game I had been searching for.

Best place for retro games in Chicago in my opinion! I’ve been to many, but this one always has some heat and for reasonable prices! I’ve picked up many gameboy consoles and they always make sure to clean and restore what they can. Please shop here and support them!!!!

Very impressive store considering it is a single store with a few devoted employees and owner. I cannot praise this store enough - they keep it very clean and organized considering the volume at which they move things through. I have always been helped with my questions and given recommendations but never felt pressured to buy anything. You can really feel the love the owner & employees have for retro (and current) gaming systems. Every time I go there is always something new because the items are priced to sell. They are often beating eBay and other options by 10-25% on complete in box items and competitive with open box retro consoles that they clean and confirm their authenticity. My only complaint would be I wish they sold new games so I could support them even more! Truly a gem

I didn't buy anything here but I just wanted to praise the store for being really clean, organized and full of variety with friendly staff. Compared to the other retro video game store that's down the road from this one. I just happened to see this one driving past. If I'm ever in the area again I'll certainly stop in.

Highly organized and best place to shop for games in the Chicagoland area. Staff is friendly as well as knowledgeable. Hopefully stores like this remain open forever, great selection of retro games and fair trade in value for cash or store credit based on current market values.

One of the best retro video game stores I’ve visited in the country. The selection of games is very diverse, covering the standard retro fare and also more obscure systems libraries.

The browsing experience is phenomenal. Everything is well organized and a huge percentage of the stock can be inspected directly. The pricier items are in cases, of course, but those cases are well-lit and items are clearly labelled.

The owner is very easy to talk to and clearly passionate about games.

Prices are fair and reflect the quality and condition of items. Not a place to go bargain hunting per se, but definitely a place to find well-preserved gems.

I've been meaning to write a review for a while, but keep forgetting. I've been coming to retro dimension for about 3 years, I believe, the atmosphere is always great. Lots of gaming decor, the games are easy to find based on platform. What I really like about the store is that when you buy a game console, it is already refurbished. The consoles are cleaned out even on the inside. The controllers are clean. Original cables and controllers too I must add. They work like they are intended to work. I highly recommend this store for retro games, consoles, and they even have like rare games. You gotta go there and see for yourself. The guys there are awesome.

Retro Dimension always has an amazing selection of games for all systems including rarities and imports. They are always getting new titles in daily. If you ever want to sell or trade, they will give you a fair offer, higher than most other places. Prices are always fair, and they take the time to clean their games and systems. The owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
