I signed up for the email newsletter from RPD about 2 years ago;I'm always looking for interesting additions to my collection.
Right after receiving the most recent email, I saw a model I've been trying to find for quite a while.
I called and spoke to Jeff,and told him what I wanted to purchase, and it couldn't have gone any better.

I became a regular when I started getting items from the catalog. Rare Plane Detective has great kits at great prices. Shipping is very reasonable and quick. They are super friendly and amazing on the phone. This is the place to go for the hard to find kits and the little odds & ends you don't have to spend an arm/leg/any parts to get. I am so glad I started doing business here and I don't have a problem finding kits. The issue is how many and how much, they are that good! Highly recommended to all for your hobby kit needs.

A new small shop on the rise, with a great selection of model kits, some of which are oldies but goodies from Matchbox. Great store with excellent discount prices and a friendly couple running it who can provide you with a good amount of info. I didn't see too much in the way of paint or glue being sold there as of a week ago, so I'd go elsewhere for that, but their unique selection can't be beat anywhere.

This is always been a Great Place to buy, old Plastic Models at Great prices. Now that I unable to build any more due my illness, I will cherish the Friendships I made with Jeff and many others in the Modeling Business, but I'll remember the Rare-plane Detective, as being the most exciting place to buy, whatever I needed.

It's great seeing someone doing for work what they love doing anyway and that's what's going on here at Rare Plane Detective. What a warehouse of model kits, thousands of them, you won't be disappointed no matter how far away you come from. The Owners are very gracious and extremely knowledgeable about their business. Better than a trip to Disneyland...
