Rare Lion Antiques & Jewelry is a wonderful place for finding unique items!

I am a lover of all things jewelry, and this store has a huge selection of precious and costume jewelry pieces at just the right price. I also saw a ton of 1800s era jewelry as well, perfect for Victorian era lovers like myself. When you're in the store, it feels like you're walking through a museum, treasure trove.

The woman at the front desk who said she had been working there for over 40 years was so lovely and kind. She said she was a gemologist, and she helped me find some neat turquoise jewelry pieces! I'm glad that I stopped here while in Arizona; this place is wonderful for finding a unique souvenir to take back home. If I'm ever in Tempe again, I'm definitely stopping by.

I always enjoy stopping by Rare Lion when visiting Tempe. I recently purchased an antique turquoise bracelet and ring as a special gift for my daughter. Michelle is so helpful, knowledgeable, and always a pleasure to chat with. She is an absolute gem!

The woman working was not pleasant.
I asked if there were Christmas items available, Non.
I asked if there was jade jewelery available, response was very little. I asked if there were American Indian jewelery available and she said , you just past it. She just felt stand offish. There was no welcoming warmth when I walked in. I was so put off, I walked out letting her know she wasn't very friendly.
Maybe her reaction to me was about the fact that I was a person of color. At least that's what it felt like. I highly do not recommend this establishment if you are a person of color.

Michelle is a book of knowledge for antique jewelry. I brought in a necklace and she told me it was from the Victorian era and she even fixed a bent clasp! She went above and beyond for me and is a very nice and respectful woman. I always enjoy coming here!
