After reading some of the other reviews for Rack N Reel I knew I had to leave one. I’ve been into Rack N Reel quite a bit now for the great selection of fishing lures. But I’ve recently purchased my first couple of handguns from them. I went in and didn’t have to wait long before a nice older gentleman came over to assist me. I told him what I was looking for and with a budget and he showed me plenty of options that fit my budget and fit my needs and I ended up making a purchase of a gun that was such a great deal you couldn’t resist. Fast forward a few weeks later and I’m back again for another. Same thing, the other older gentleman came over and helped me out and let me look at a few things before I found the one I liked, again at a great discounted price! I just couldn’t leave without it. If you know firearms then they will let you handle them and get a feel for them. Just have some etiquette! The folks I have met at Rack N Reel so far have been nothin but helpful and understanding, making sure I get what I need as a customer, and they can even order things for you that may not be IN the store! I will be going back for business!

Came here to buy a Glock 29 and ended up waiting 30 minutes to be checked out while employees stood around talking only to be told loudly by the older woman behind the counter to “get out and get my shit together” in front of the whole checkout line because my ID had expired. I work 10 hours a day every day of the week and although the responsibility is on me to be aware of my ID expiration. It doesn’t warrant being essentially bullied by the very establishment you chose to support. Buy your ammo from Palmetto and your guns from anywhere else. It’ll be cheaper, faster and you won’t end up regretting taking the time out of your day to be treated poorly. If you like spending 60$ on a single box of 9mm and being heckled, this is the right place to go.

Prices are high. Customer service is weak and they won’t shut up about politics. Spend your dollars elsewhere.

Went to a dozen places in Burlington area looking for a 10’ fishing sit on top kayak. Called to check their inventory and they let me know what they had and was accurate. Friendly and helpful staff, walked me through the different models and features and answered all my questions. Gave me a discount since end of season and a discount on accessories (paddle and jacket.) Good selection of kayaks, even for end of season. Store is surprisingly big for where it is. Lots of fishing, hunting gear, and guns. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Even got a text (from my receipt / kayak warranty registration) letting me know I had left my sweatshirt behind and offered to mail it to me.

I bought a pair of 165.00 jeans an in two months they were junk so they order me another set an in two months then were junk. So I went with another brand an they coast me 195.00 on sail. An I asked them if they were going to give me my money back on the junk keenes an they said no. That they could order me another set. The place is a joke. Don't do business there. They r a rip off place. I'll travel 5 hours to a different store if I have to. They don't stand behind anything they sell.

This is one of the best sporting good stores that I have ever been to. Not only do they have a huge selection but they will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need! They also donate a ton of product to local outdoor fundraisers. The owners are truly first class people! I highly recommend!

We were camping for a week in the area and stopped by twice during our stay. Even though we are from Ohio, the folks @ Rack N Reel treated us as if we were family. Outside of a major city, I've never seen such a great supply of literally anything you could want! Thanks again for making our trip to Vermont a great one!

My son in law purchased a fishing pole for me there with instructions to check out Rack n Reel ASAP,and that I would never need to go to the big box in Williston ever again.Well,a pole is no good without a reel so off I went and he was right. What a great place, the two ladies I spoke with were extremely helpful and friendly in regards to a new reel and line, firearms questions and just pointing me in the right direction. Even have a couple of nice dogs there…Looking forward to coming back, have my eye on that Sig 22. Thanks again for your help. Greg in Huntington
