Great local R/C shop! Don is always very helpful. We have bought a couple of R/C cars from Race Prep. The first time was for my son's 9th birthday, and when Don thought the shipment wasn't going to make it on time, he drove out to another shop and made sure my son was able to receive his R/C car on his birthday. My son is always breaking parts on his car and Don is always very helpful in showing him what parts he needs and how to fix it himself. We highly recommend Race Prep!

Found this great hobbies shop when I was looking for an RC car for my son. Met Don, owner, and he was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to recommend a great first car for my son and he loves it. My daughter pretty much took my RC car and Don helped her customize it to make it her own. Their prices are great and customer service is even better. Thank you!

Great shop! I've been out of the rc game for quite some time. Walked in there just to check it out and now I'm hooked again! Would love to race again and the owner Don is super helpful. He brings me back I up to speed and keeps me informed on the newly changing hobby. I love how honest and humble they are there. They are not the type of people who will push you into a sale. They will tell you when your wasting you money. They always make sure your happy with your purchase. The prices are a few dollars more than online but you end up saving with the cost of shipping. I love supporting local businesses and if he doesn't have a part in Stock he gladly orders it for me. I come in now at least once a week and love spending my money there. Just hope one day a track could be possible.

It's a small R/C Shop and its really the only one relatively close by and one of the only ones in Simi Valley. I couldn't find what I needed and the stock is kind of low but the owner is extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Stopped in to ask a simple question about battery charging. Lithium batteries are different and particular. Fat man in the chair couldn't be bothered and was quite rude. The other gentleman tried to help but fat man kept interrupting because I wasn't a regular and it was my first time in. I have multiple RC cars planes and boats I'm from Spokane Washington we're service is top-notch in any hobby shop. I find fat man to meet nothing more than a typical Californian, rude and useless.
