My husband has been involved in various hobbies over his life. It started with gas powered remote control cars. As we added children to our family, his hobby changed to RC Cars, as he’s now involved our son. It’s their favorite thing to do together. We’re from the Birmingham area. The hobby stores in our area absolutely do not compare to RC Hobbies (now RC Hobby Barn). Whether you’re interested in RC cars, planes, trains, or modeling they have what you are looking for. They’re also very generous and very willing to answer any questions you may have. It’s worth the drive just to visit them. If hobbies are something you’re into, don’t hesitate to visit them.

Being a 3+ hrs drive, I havnt yet visited this shop, but I've decided I will have to make the pilgrimage due in no small part to the owners very honest reply to a one star review.
I too am a cranky old phart and feel I'll meet a kindred spirit, though I will most certainly respect the obviously hard working staffs business hours and plan my arrival accordingly.

Great to actually have a shop in town!!! Even better that the shop is very helpful, and has good customer service. Land, air, and water... Whatever floats your boat; they have a good inventory. On top of that, there is an R/C car / truck track in the back of the lot. Also, the operating hours are good for most working people. Support your local shop. It's nice having them around.

Nice hobby shop with outdoor RC track. I wish they stocked more military scale models kits and more scale model paint brands (AK, Vallejo etc) but they only stock Tamiya paints. RC cars and planes are their main focus. Still it’s a great store and friendly staff.

Huge selection of rc hobbies and more.
Clean, well laid out. Super friendly and helpful people.
Think my only observation is that most of the planes are bind and fly. Would love to see pnp and perhaps something other than E-Flight.
