We came for the first time today and loved it. Josie was our stylist and we were completely shocked at how well our 3 year old sat for her and listened to how to hold his head as it was his first time ever going to a salon. She was very engaging and sweet with the kids too. We'll definitely come back here for the next one 😊

Dawn is fantastic! She has been cutting my four year old boy’s hair for years & just cut my little girl’s hair for the first time. Dawn is patient, kind, and does a great job! All the staff are wonderful and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed with the Glamour Girl package purchased for my granddaughter. She is 5, on the spectrum, but very well behaved and was very still for the process. She was getting a simple bob for her fine, thin hair. The stylist was rude to her anytime she made one wrong small move. “Don’t do that again!” Was the worst comment. My Granddaughter would look at me and her mom like she didn’t know what she meant because she didn’t understand what she had done. If she had not been so excited about this process, we would’ve left. My daughter just squatted in front of her, kept her smiling, so it would keep her attention and distract her from how rude the stylist was. When she finished cutting the length (not very well), she asked my granddaughter what color “fairy hair” she wanted, but it was hard for her to answer because she was distracted by the room full of kids playing, so my daughter told her to do pink since it’s her favorite. The stylist ignored her, turned the chair completely away from my daughter and kept asking her. She finally randomly said green. She tied in 6 strands really quick, gave her 3 seconds to pick a polish, slapped on a coat and sent us on our way with an uneven haircut that I had to get fixed later, polish that came off within 2 hours because it was one coat of cheap polish, a few dots of face glitter, but a very excited little girl who sees the good in every situation no matter what is going on. The fairy hair wasn’t tied well so it was out with one wash the next day. We won’t be doing this again. Photo is of one part (bottom-right) of my granddaughters hair that I had to go, later, and have cut properly.

This was the first time we went to this location so maybe they were having an off day, but the lady who cut his hair was very abrupt and didn't try to distract or calm down my 20 month old at all. At the end of the haircut she asked if it was good and she had missed a large portion of his hair. To give her credit my kid was very squirmy, it just feels like something someone who cuts kids hair every day should notice. The haircut looks ok but not good. The two main reasons for the poor review is that, first the hairdresser smelled like cigarette smoke, which I don't like when someone is having to stand so close to me or my kid. Second, I left my kid's water bottle in the store and went back about 5 minutes after leaving and the bottle was gone. I asked them and they said they never saw a water bottle. I was the only customer in the store....

This has been great for my kiddo, who really struggled with hair cuts. He loves them now. Brittany is amazing! The fact she can cut hair on that moving blur of a head, and have it look good, is astounding to me.

We've been coming here for over a year i almost didn't want to post this scared it will mess it up for my 5yo on the spectrum he's just getting into the routine, we came yesterday with my 2yo on the spectrum he immediately got upset threw up just alittle we were prepared it was a 30 sec thing it didn't get on anything on him nothing it was over, the lady totally freaked out stayed in the bathroom making violet throwing up sounds the whole store could hear my husband and 2 kids were just standing there in shock uncomfortable waiting I didn't think it was that big rly which she didn't haft to do it either way he can be difficult and it's new for him but after all the back and forth throwing up(the lady) she then came out asked us to leave the store that she couldn't do it! Infront of everyone i was so confused embarrassed I'm not even sure if we're welcome back or not now! I've nvr been asking to leave a store in my life and I'm sill traumatized my son has half his head shaved now and I'm too scared to try it again she should consider a different place to work considering she works with special needs kids it was absolutely the most terrible experience to date I've ever had with my kiddos in public ever! I do apologize for his drama as well it's her choice but to handle it in that way was too much!!

Can't give this place higher praise. My daughter was ALL smiles the whole time & its not because she's the most well behaved 2½yr old out there...it's because the stylists are so patient and take their time to make your child feel comfortable and safe. They have awesome little trucks, trains, and cars for the kids to sit in and for her 1st haircut we got a keepsake certificate, picture, and her 1st lock of hair....and of course we had to go bow shopping. 10/10 ☆s from us.

My daughter got a hair cut today at the Vestavia location. It was not her first hair cut but it was our first time here. The actual hair cut was fine but the stylist never introduced herself, never smiled at my daughter, or even tried to make her comfortable. She took less than 5 minutes to complete the hair cut and my daughter cried just about the whole time. My daughter is 3 so her crying during a hair cut isn’t really a surprise but the stylist just kept telling her she was fine and that she was not hurting her. I was not impressed at all with the atmosphere we experienced. I may as well have had the stylist who cuts my hair do my daughter’s hair cut. If you advertise as a place for children to get their hair cut, you need to be able to actually interact with children and parents in an appropriate way.
