I have been using P.O.T.O. for a long time for their Friday Auctions on Reef-N-Bid. "Pieces of the Ocean" is the only Vendor I will use. Every shipment I receive from them, the Coral is extremely healthy, with vibrant colors, an never a DOA problem. The office staff is always on their game. Even the shipments are clearly labeled so you know exactly what is inside the bag. Their prices are more than reasonable and quality is hard to beat. I strongly recommend them for all your colorful coral displays. Jessica does a fantastic job of keeping the shipments moving and handling any problems that may arrive. They are a 5 star operation, without a doubt!!

A “ frag plug “ of house named acro for the price of colonies … I get that New York is expensive but stores all buy from a handful of import/vendor/wholesalers…. So to double or triple the price of other stores leaves a fowl taste

My wife and I (ReefKatz)are from Philadelphia and we drove up to the shop to see what it was like. Everyone working was super helpful and very inviting. I saw an interview with Kenny and Keith (reef bum) and was intrigued and that’s what brought me to the site where I saw the auction. I made a few small purchases and decided to pick up in store so that I can see the facility in person. I must say it was VERY impressive. The care that the team showed when dealing with us as well as the tanks and it’s livestock was inspiring and we have continued to shop with POTO. We tried ordering and the experience was equally impressive. The time and care that goes into the packaging was phenomenal. I want to once again thank you for what you do and thank you for being a great business to the community. I can’t sing your praises enough. I’m sure people tell POTO all the time how great they are but I wanted to make sure that I spent the time to say it myself and let others know.

Update- corals purchased are still doing great and thriving. They have been the most stable and consistent growing in my tank. I purchase from a lot of places an POTO seem to always exceed my expectations. I even love using their site to buy corals called Reefnbid. Great deals and values. They are active in the Reef2Reef community and run great sales with fantastic games that keep you engaged. Kenny, Chris, and Will are fantastic and great to talk to.

One of the best coral purveyors in the United States and probably the best in NY, specializing in SPS. The owner has an eye for Acropora and it is evident that he and his staff are true coral enthusiasts and experts. They’re LPS and soft coral selections are also top notch. What is apparent the moment you enter the store is just how well taken care of all fish and corals are. I didn’t see a single unhealthy/necrotic specimen (unlike pretty much every other store I’ve been to around NYC). These guys know and love reefing. I’ve included some frags I got from POTO below.

I'm actually from Germany, but I was passing through on my way to JFK Airport. I found the store online and stopped by because I find it very interesting to see other coral shops around the world.

The employee was extremely friendly even though he knew that I couldn't buy anything, unfortunately.

It's mainly SPS, but the selection and quality of the corals is outstanding!
A truly lovely shop—you can tell that the owners are passionate about what they do!
