Excellent service, good prices! This is an example of a local business that everyone should support. The owner loves music and loves making it as easy as possible for new musician to share in that love. If you are just starting out or an artist looking for a good store for your craft this is the place. I went in looking for a good starter electric guitar for my son, and not only did he give be a great price he talked me through the whole process!

Now that my piano is safely in my hands and out of yours, I feel inclined to email you and tell you how unprofessionally and insensitively you behaved during this entire transaction.

When I initially reached out about planning to ship our piano, I was provided with a quote for the storage and the move. When my mother returned home from being out of the country, I began to include her in the conversation. We were both shocked at the price quoted for the move and the storage. At no point were we informed that the shipping company was part of your company, making the entire situation feel shady. After we contacted you that the price was too high, there was no negotiating or discussion of adjusting the price and when it came to it, you actually ended up charging my mother EVEN MORE money. Unacceptable.

Additionally, when my mother and I approached you about an alternative option for shipping- we were met with disdain, judgement, and negative attitudes. When the shipping company reached out, you ignored the call and then changed the schedule and pick up, at the last minute to work better for you with no notification to me or my mother. Unacceptable.

The shipping company notified you of another date option that worked for them based on your posted hours, to which you replied you had decided to change your available hours (with no public notice). Unacceptable.

You had offered to discount the storage to $85 - which you later rescinded. Unacceptable.

My mother made multiple calls to you to work out a better option to which you did not reply in a timely fashion and were rude to top it off. Unacceptable.

The storage fee initially quoted was for $2,210. We would have been able to have a discussion with you about and would have been more amenable to pay, but then you went and changed the price by almost $700 with no explanation. Painting my mother into a corner to just get the piano out of your hands. Unacceptable.

You added an extra charge to the cost to staff the facility where the piano was being held. 100% not a charge that should have been passed on to us. Unacceptable.

You were asked by my mother to take pictures of the piano prior to packaging, to assure the piano was in good shape and our correct piano. That did not happen. As a result of that, we received the wrong piano bench. Unacceptable.

You then offered to tune the piano as a complimentary service prior to it taking a nearly 1,000 mile journey. Seems like a futile and empty gesture.

In summary, this entire experience has been emotionally and financially draining and you were the main contributor to all of that. I am requesting that you refund my mother ALL of her payment to you.

We started with lessons for our son about 5 years ago. We have had a great experience. Our son has learned a lot. The people that work at Piano Trends are friendly and very helpful. We also purchased a piano from Piano Trends. The purchase was a great investment and a great opportunity for our children to have music in their lives. I would, and have, encouraged others to go to Piano trends for their music/singing lessons, and instrument purchases.

Owners are my parents. Of course I'm giving it 5 stars, but I would even if they weren't. I remember in the 90's when piano sales were more frequent, there was a lot of local competition. I remember my parents talking at home about how honestly was a big part of their sales strategy. Pretty smart and impressive if you ask me. And it worked. They genuinely love music and create a lot of good energy in the community. Stop in and ask my dad to tell you a pun, might be cringe-worthy, but I promise your day will be brightened. We are lucky to have options for local availability of music and related supplies. In addition to the great customer service, what sets Piano Trends apart from other local vendors is the connection to the music community in our area. They have created an environment both virtual and physical for sharing experiences and expressions of sound at all levels. Whether your kid just began recorder or your livelihood depends on your creation of sound all are engaged as members of this community.

Well, when you walk into this store, you are immediately greeted with a smile and cheery hello. More importantly, everyone who works there is knowledgeable about the products–both instruments and sheet music.They are all trained musicians. If you want to wander on your own and browse, no problem, they will leave you alone. But you are never far away from someone who can answer a question when you have one. Even walking into this store the very first time, you are treated like a friend, or a neighbor, not a "client", know what I mean? it just feels good in there. And, yes, they probably have what you are looking for. 🙂
