Do not trust. A complete scammer. Brought in my car for a quick smog here at this smog station as required by the DMV this year and now I completely regret it. I knew my 2001 vehicle was in good shape and running in excellent condition so I knew my car was gunna pass easily. Well the first time I came in to this tech or so called tech told me my car would not pass because there was a connection error between my OBD plug and his scanner. He said the wires in my plug were loose and he would have to open the plug and tighten the wires? I knew this was was a complete lie because my friend of mine who is a UTI graduate and now a ford master tech had already scanned my car for a previous unrelated issue bout exactly 5 days ago from this date and he found no codes so there was no way my plug was bad. Anyways he said he couldn't open the device which he said it would take 10 minute to complete because he was busy and that I I would have to bring it back any other day but that day and still charged me full price ($50) which is typical at smog stations but said he would give me a discount if I brought it back to him. So the next day I took my car to my friend and told him about my experience, he said no way my car would have an issue with my plug but either way he went on to scan my car and once again his OBD scanner and my OBD scanner connected just fine and found no issues that would prevent my car from passing. Brought my car again to this smog station the following day hoping for the discount that he said he would give me. As soon as I got off my car he asked me if I took it in to get it fixed before bringing it I told him that I though he was gunna service it, he stayed quiet. Anyways I told him that my friend checked it out and that there was no way there would be and issue. He got nervous and became very rude and hostile. He plugged in my car to the same scanner and proceeded with the smog check and my car quickly passed. I knew from the beginning he was fake and just wanted to charge me twice when he told me to come back some other day. Finally when I asked for my discount he told me I had to pay full price again ($50) since it passed this second time and I did not qualify for a discount because my car required to be smogged at a star station like his. Again I knew that was fake but unfortunately I was left with no other choice but to pay him again since he runs this junk smog station. After giving me my papers back he told me his plug is sometimes sensitive because of it being old. God knows how many Orange Cove resident he has scammed and still scamming. Only thing I could do is write about my incident so those who are considering to bring their car in to reconsider. I appologize for any typos and for this long review. Thank you.
