First thing first the kid with the longer hair and highlights should not work here!!! Coming from out of state just to check out local card by far I had an extremely disappointing experience at Oasis Games in Salt Lake City. I went in with high hopes, but the reality was far from what I expected. First, the customer service was appalling. The staff seemed disinterested and unapproachable, more focused on chatting among themselves than assisting customers. When I did manage to get someone’s attention, they were dismissive and seemed annoyed by my questions about their card inventory the staff member said the computers had just been turned off and couldn’t be turned on till tomorrow! Just for me to turn the corner and see one of them on! To top it all off, the atmosphere in the store was unwelcoming. The place felt dark and uninviting, not at all the kind of environment where you’d want to spend time browsing or playing games. Overall, my visit to Oasis Games was a huge letdown, and I won’t be returning. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you’re in the market for cards or a good gaming experience."

I am an online purchaser from Oasis Games, as i am geographically displaced. I would hands down recommend Oasis Games to anyone local and not local because of how i was treated by 4 separate co-workers. Josh and the crew he works alongside have been nothing but first class. I touched base to see about trading in Magic the Gathering cards for store credit for some products thatd id had my eye on for awhile. This necessitated i mail the cards in for grading and assessment. This experience was smooth and i encountered no issues. I was able to create an online account where my store credit populated. I was then immediately able to call in and apply said credit to my merchandise and complete my transaction over pay-pal for the remaining balance (also a simple transaction). My packages came in extremely well wrapped and boxed within a few days. Do yourself right by supporting these class act employees who clearly maintain an “its about the community” mentality. The interactions with others is why we game, and that heritage is truly found at this Oasis.

Wouldn’t buy any “good” Pokémon product from here. Not sure who their source is or where they buy Pokémon products from but I’d stay away from stuff like this. Got a charizard UPC and all chase packs were re-sealed.
Waste of $$ I’d go else where to buy authentic Pokémon product. STAY AWAY!!

Pass this place up go to Demolition Game. Seriously it’s got anti local game store (LGS) energy. I’m not sure what’s going on but the employees seem to not be on top of things and they don’t seem to care at all. Oasis games would fail me four times in the experience I had there.

I brought some cards in to get them appraised and put them towards another card I ordered in advance. My cards were placed in a box in a line of two others behind the front counter ON THE GROUND! What kind of store put cards on the ground?! Someone could step on them or trip over the boxes. This was the first time they failed.

I was told it would be about 30-40 minutes since there was some people ahead of me and I would get a text telling me my order was ready no big deal right? Well they found a way to screw it up. I waited an hour and a half before I gave up and went to ask for my cards back. That was failure number two.

When I asked the guy for my cards back he looked on the ground and there was my box on the ground again. Cards appraised and ready to go not a word said to me not a text sent to my phone nothing. Failure number three.

I asked him about the card I ordered in advance. He had completely forgotten and then said it would take time to pick the card from the back and I would need to wait longer since there was people ahead of me still even after them twiddling their thumbs for an hour and a half! I told him that I would come back tomorrow to pick it up since it was almost 10pm and had work the next day. Failure number four.

When I go to get my card tomorrow it’s the last time I ever go to Oasis games again and I’ll be happy to spend my money elsewhere like Demolition Games where the staff is socially inviting and they actually know how to work. I’ll make sure to tell all my friends to steer clear of this miserable excuse of a LGS.

Excellent experience first time visiting with some Warhammer models to play a game and the staff was super helpful in setting up a table for me to game with my buddy. They were super friendly and happy for us to game there.

There are always a ton of people playing different games. The people behind the counter are knowledgeable and quick to ask if you need help. Super fun atmosphere and a great place to eat right next door. I can't say enough good things about this place.

2nd time here for a build a commander event with a buddy who's into MTG and trying to get me addicted.
Great place with pretty chill employees. Only downside seems like 1 guy working the counter and sometimes you've got a bit of a line\wait.

Visited briefly. Went in to look at MTG singles, and I personally find joy in looking at singles in display cases at an LGS. They did not have an MTG display case and directed me to their online database. If I want to look for cards on an online database, I will just order from TCG or CardKingdom. Overall it's a nice store. I saw people picking up games, it was clean, and the staff was nice.
