Drove out from orinda first thing in the morning to pick up a Stihl unit the website said they had in stock. There was some kind of mixup in the computer and they had to look high and low for what I needed. Stella was helping me and she was awesome. Super apologetic, incredibly helpful - she had a couple people looking in the back while she called other stores in the area. Finally they found one in the back, but it required special assembly and the guy who does the assembling wasn’t coming in for another hour and a half. Unfortunately I told them I wasn’t able to wait and couldn’t come back today because I lived too far - so Stella called the guy and he gracefully agreed to come in early just to assemble my unit! I went to the coffee shop next door for 40min, then they called me up and I came and got exactly what I needed.

Thanks so much to Stella and the Stihl assembly guy who was working the morning of 5/23 (sorry didn’t get his name) for going above and beyond to get me exactly what I needed. Customer service to the max.

Recently we were rehabbing our duplex.It was built in 1978. 3 times I tried to find what I needed at those two other big box stores. They did not have what we needed. ACE hardware had it!

This ace always seems to have what I'm looking for when I need it. Staff has always been very friendly and has assisted me in locating items many times. Always feels like someone is going the extra distance to make sure things are as organized as possible. Whoever is running this store deserves a raise.

I actually made a special trip here to buy a top of the line ironing board! I couldn't find one anywhere else! It's something I will always have and worth the $$. Of course I bought the new pad and a smaller sleeve one as well! It's the little things peeps, the little things that make me happy!

This is an upscale Ace. It has it's own Carhartt section. I've never seen one before. They also carry high end dog food and nicer fixtures.

It's very clean and every aisle is perfect! Coming from a person with OCD that's a compliment! Nothing is out of place which gives me peace!

They give popcorn in cute little bags on your way out. They definitely go the extra mile to make you feel good.

Their customer service is on point. I'm always asked if I need assistance. Friendly smiles and overall a pleasant store to shop in.

Love this store. Could spend hours wandering the isles. Cute gifts, fun garden novelties. Anything and everything you can think of. Very helpful staff.

Very good service. I went to make some key copies and they made them wrong. I returned the next day and they made them again at no cost and gave me two more for free.
