Great local bookstore. They have many types of books and many local authors and bookmakers in stocks. Many postcards, magazines too. Staff is knowledgeable. You get to choose from a variety of bookmarks when you buy a book. The bookmarks are very cool with many types to choose from. When you buy a book you also have the option of gift wrapping at their gift wrapping station. Very convenient.

This is the best independent bookstore! They carry a good selection of local and popular books, order anything for you, and offer 20% off bestsellers. I often find my books used, but I want to buy a new book, this is the spot. Since it’s a locally owned business, I spent there coming right back into our community

I love shopping at Northtown but also order books online through their website for pick up. This is very easy and they notify you when your order is ready. Supporting a local business instead of an out of state behemoth corporation keeps the $$ in our local economy. Long live Northtown Books!

A very nicely curated, and welcoming, independent bookstore. A wide range of topics, with the best periodical section for hundreds of miles. They hold monthly author's readings/discussions, and children's book readings. If a book isn't in stock, it can be ordered and almost always arrives within 1-3 days (depending on the day of the week it is ordered). Ask about their frequent readers program, and don't forget to grab a free bookmark! Oh, and the music they play in the store is always interesting.

A great independent bookstore. The collection, especially the collection for display on tables, is curated by knowledgeable and informed staff with deep experience in independent bibliographic retail. They know what interests their customers. I look up books on Amazon, then order them through Northtown Books. Worth supporting as part of what makes California's North Coast what it is.
