I was in town for Grammy weekend and happened to stumble across Nivessa! They truly have a love for the music and artistry and are able to make you feel grounded within the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Henry is a great guy, and makes you feel like a long lost cousin. The collection of vinyls, CDs, and DVDs are second to none. Very uplifting; very demure.

Super dope little shop. Unexpectedly found this place and spent a good 2 hours digging but could have spent more. Impressed with the diversity of genres but more so the depth. Good prices and good vibes! Can’t wait to return and check out the new spot.

Nivessa my favorite record store period. Their collection is massive. Their variety is unmatched. It is impossible to walk in and not feel immediately plugged to the LA record/music community. The staff is super friendly and the owner Jon is one of the nicest and least pretentious person I’ve ever met. At Nivessa I’ve bought gems, made friends and always walk away feeling great. If you love records you will love this place.

Good enough selection, but if you’re aiming to be taken seriously as a record store, put price tags on the records you have out for sale. Putting them out unmarked and only pricing them when someone expresses interest in them. Not only smacks of unethical behavior, but is not how reputable record stores in most of the western world operate. I will change my review once it’s been confirmed this practice has ended.

The new record store in town has an amazing collection of records. It’s not overpriced and everyone is friendly. Jonathan, the owner is very nice l, helpful and remembered my name from the first visit. Definitely a new place in the neighborhood that makes it a better place.

Not a great store for record lovers, more for the buyer who just wants to buy records and isn’t concerned about condition or price. The owner is a super nice guy but he’s not a record/music nerd, he heard a few years back that records were valuable again and he got into it. Because of that the shop *looks* the part but the vibe isn’t there.

Huge selection haphazardly crammed in the bins. Average condition is VG- but everything is priced mint; I’ve never bought records here on 6-8 visits and despite the fact the owner has been in my own home multiple times buying albums. The quality just isn’t there and the staff really has no idea what they’re doing. Young guys who look the part but don’t know anything about records. I’ve seen dudes come in with *heat* to sell and the staff don’t even know what they’re looking at, they just throw out the standard lowball offer and then get laughed at. No one here knows what they are doing, sadly, because they want so badly to be a legit record store but it just feels like they’re playing dress-up.

If you love records, go to High Fidelity on Adams Very very well curated, condition is great, vibe is chill, and prices are insanely low considering the stuff they have.
