Great little book store! The staff is really nice and they have friendly cats you can visit with while you find a book! They even let us do some fun senior photos inside!

Every time I'm in the area, I stop by Nans. I would go with my mom on previous trips to the area. Eclectic and varied options and sections are titled in an easy to find manner. A little overpriced in my opinion but I understand they need to make a profit.

it seems like a good bookstore. but i have to give some advice for whoever is taking care of that poor kitty cat. i can tell it is very skinny, its extremely underweight. its skin and bone and it will soon pass away if it doesnt get a better diet.

so most likely the owner is not feeding it enuf wetfood that it actually enjoys. most likely the owner is only giving it dry food, which it does not like very much and therefore is not eating very much.

most likely that cat is severly dehydrated because cats often dont drink straight water. they get moisture through wetfood. that cat was desperately meowing at me . it was incredibly heartbreaking . it obviously was begging me to take it home. it could tell i actually cared about it and knew how to restore it to health.

i think the owner honestly is not a cat person and doesnt know how to properly take care of a cat. even cat people mostly dont know how to keep a cat healthy. many people dont even know how to keep themselves healthy. cats need wetfood unlike dogs. dogs will drink a bowl of water, cats will not.

the specific cat im referring to is scallop. but i imagine all the cats in that bookstore are not being fed proper amounts of wetfood or water. also, they can drink water thru various devices which cause it to be moving like in a stream. but often they will simply need to just be fed wetfood.

A cozy used book shop filled with lovely people. Drove over to check it out during a vacation in Pismo and was able to find quite a few books I had been on the hunt for - at a good price. I told my Dad about it and later had to take him, he left with a huge stack to add to his Tarzan collection. Everyone I encountered there was sweet and friendly, especially the cats.

Cool store. Very friendly cats live inside. The person working inside is not as friendly as the cat. I'd go back to pet the cats.

I love the cats you can cuddle and carry around while I browse. They have a good variety genres and authors. The staff are friendly and helpful. Go in, find a book and settle into a comfy chair and you will soon find a bundle of love in your lap. Only thing missing are side tables for coffee and tea.😀

Beautiful place and such a wonderful experience! There are so many books to get lost in. The organization is nice. A lovely touch with the kitties keeping you company while you browse.
