Loved the environment, there were a few games happening from MTG and others. Great place to get card games, painting equipment for figurines, etc.

We drove 3 hours to look for some cards I was missing for my EDH deck. After asking for the second card on my list the store employee told me he didn’t have time to look for the cards. There was an event going on. Terrible customer service. The only positive I’ll offer is the organization of their products. If you’re looking for specific cards you’ll be able to find them, if the owner/employee has time for you. I will not return to find out.

Was visiting from out of town and stopped at both stores Santa Cruz and Monterey both were equally good. The staff are good people who know Magic.

The store is clean, and the staff is kind. They have a lot of tablespace for MTG as well as tables in the back for warhammer. The singles selection is a bit limited, which I feel is reasonable in 2024.

The premier tabletop gaming spot here in Monterey.
The primary gaming groups are MtG on Thursdays and Fridays, Warhammer 40k on Sundays.

There is ample table space for playing MtG out front, and tabletop wargames in the back. Cards are bought and sold, primarily MtG but they sell Pokémon sets too.

For tabletop hobbt gear, they sell the full Citadel and Army Painter paint selections, plus accessories, so you can find all the basics you'd need to get started with tabletop wargaming here.

They have a small selection of INFINITY, a solid selection of continuously restocking WARHAMMER 40k, and a small bit of BATTLETECH in stock primarily.

They sell a few board games, and a nice selection of DnD module books.

Parking is limited in front of the store. Avoid parking in front of the business next door, those folks spend more time staring at their precious private lot than actually working. Instead, just find street parking in the area and walk, everything is very accessible in this part of Monterey.

There's a lot of reasons why this store has survived this long, and it's simply because they're excellent at what they do. Owner and staff are pillars of the local gaming community and thus understand what the needs are.

Great place for magic, Warhammer, board games and card games of all kinds. If you just want a game or gift, the selection is great and the staff is helpful. If you are looking for a community of players for a game you are passionate about, the regulars are welcoming, the scene is fun for casual or more competitive play alike, and the location is perfect.

Friendly owners, great TTRPG, board game and TCG store for years. A staple stop when my friends visit in Alvarado, or when I need a quick item for a hobby day or game night. Owner and staff know their products and play the games they stock, which are the best people to talk to when looking for something.

Fawaz Koussa

Excellent little game shop specializing in magic the gathering or so it seemed to me. Friday night magic draft is $18 at 6:00 pm. The staff is nice and they have a very large collection of singles that you can purchase.
