Oh My Goodness! This store is adorable! We have been there twice, once to get our Christmas card outfits and once to get some vacation fits for the kids. Our baby daughter was the star of our card this year in the most darling Christmas dress(I wish she could wear it all year!). And the staff are so friendly when we were shopping for our vacation, they helped me get my son comfy in their small book nook so that I could shop at my pace. They pointed me to this perfect summer sweatsuit for my son. He looked so dashing in the pale green sweat shorts and matching light sweater. It was the perfect outfit after getting out of the water, cozy enough to nap in, and cute enough to post! This is the perfect little shop to get an outfit for your kiddo that feels like a one of a kind! We will definitely be back!

I had a very unpleasant experience at this store this morning. I was at the coffee shop next door and waited outside the store for it to open at 9 am. My baby, who is a year old, got excited when she saw a dog toy in the shop window. She started pointing and tapped the glass quickly, but the owner came out and, in a rude tone, asked us to stop.

I calmly responded that I was sorry, but the situation escalated. The owner seemed irritated by our presence near the shop window and asked us to move because she needed to put furniture outside. When I shifted slightly, she insisted I move again because she wanted to place a chair exactly where I had been standing.

Her behavior was unwelcoming and dismissive, not just toward me but indirectly toward my child as well. I understand managing a business can be stressful, but addressing a child’s innocent excitement in such a cold and disrespectful way was unnecessary. As a potential customer, I expected at least basic kindness and respect.

Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unwelcome, and I will not be returning to this store. I hope the owner considers treating people—especially families—with more care in the future.

The staff is kind, helpful, and patient! My daughter loves the toys and sensory clay kits and my son likes the atmosphere. The clothes are beautiful and well curated, but more in a gift price range than everyday wear...

We love Moon & Sun! Always welcoming staff, tons of new books, toys and clothes week to week, great events (neighborhood block parties, book readings, etc). So happy to have this shop in Mission Hills!

To get right to the point- our family no longer shops here. The attitude of the workers made us feel uncomfortable, like we were shopping on Park Avenue. We were overcharged twice when a sale price was forgotten at check out. The straw that broke the camel’s back- our son has special needs and at an event almost was going to have a potty accident. I begged them to let him use their restroom and explained that I had over $200 of items in my hands I was going to purchase. They refused to let him go to the bathroom. I know it was a big ask but under the special circumstances I was hoping they would show some human kindness. We are right down the street and would shop here ALL the time if it weren’t for this.
