Our family... 4 children ages 10 months - 14 years... has benefited immeasurably from Brenda Englebert's Mom's Marketplace for nigh on 8 years. We consign (deliver (something) to a person's (protective) custody, typically in order for it to be sold, not "stolen"), volunteer to work shifts, shop till we literally drop, and appreciate the budget bargain savings biannually. A successful, professionally run business model! This Prattville Pickers event has been much more than a fiscal boon for us, but a community servant's heart source of empathetic comfort when we unexpectedly lost our wee baby girl three years ago. Mrs. Brenda and her salaried/volunteer staff graciously accommodated us during our immediate time of devastating grief and continued to reach out for months/years after our crushing irreplaceable loss. Mom's Marketplace is not perfect (Name one merchant who is... sans CHICK-Fil-A!), but it is operated with the safety, sanity, and savings of its consignors and shoppers in mind. WE LOVE MOM'S MARKETPLACE!!!

As a consignor, I love the system for tagging and personalized barcodes for every item. I love that I can track each item daily as it sells and see my total earnings throughout the sale. 10/10 for the system. BUT I’ve sold and bought through this consignment for 6 years and I no longer do after last year. Personally I don’t make as much money here because they are incredibly picky about accepted items (depends on who you are because I’ve seen other people sell summer in winter and vice versa). Last fall sale, I had at least 20 items that were initially accepted, put behind counter and not allowed to be sold because of unknown reasons as they all met criteria (this is the only sale that’s done that to me and I sell at 3 consignments and thankfully those items sold at another one). As a buyer, I’ve witnessed the owner (?) yelling at guests multiple occasions making it out like they were stealing and embarrassing people for looking at items for sale. I’ve been personally talked to like a child by her as a guest and as a seller. Maybe she doesn’t know how she comes across but it’s not friendly at all - and I’ve seen many posts on social media about the same issues so I know I am not alone in feeling this.

Overall, you might find some good stuff for decent (I wouldn’t say amazing) prices but shop (and sell) at your own risk.

Can not recommend this consignment sale. If you are a consigner you are better off selling with Doodlebugs in Wetumpka as they take less of a cut from consigners. Was a consigner with then for a couple of years or so. In October I posted a reminder on a local moms Facebook page last year to remind folks to check the sizes of the clothing they pick out matches the tag and is in the right section because I didnt do that and ended up purchasing 3-4 items that were not tagged right including a pair of size 6 pants paired together with a 2T shirt and called a 3T on the tag in the 3Tsection of the racks. I get it, mistakes happen and it isn't anyone's fault but mine for not checking. I then recieved harassing text messages from the owner, Ms.. Brenda, asking me to consider to remove my post because I was "crazy for defaming moms marketplace and bringing down my own sales and the sales of others." When I tried to explain that I was simply reminding folks to check the sizes because of the no return policy and was more concerned about doing the right thing instead of the money she said "everyone was quite irritated that I would do such a thing" and showed her the post. I apologized and advised that must have been overwhelming on such a busy day and I also edited my Facebook post to apologize for the drama to the other consigners. However. I never recieved any apology from Ms. Brenda as a result I stopped consigning and shopping at Moms Marketplace or Prattville Pickers.
