5 Stars for Millie in Monarch Beach – Fashion Fairies in Action!

I have a wedding to attend this weekend, and let me tell you, my closet is basically a museum of uninspired fashion disasters. Then, as if by magic, I strolled past Millie’s store window this morning and spotted the dress! Not just any dress, but the dress that screamed, “I’ve got this wedding in the bag!”

I popped in as soon as they opened, and it felt like shopping with your besties who just happen to be fashion experts. I was ready to try on a bunch of dresses, but guess what? The one I’d seen in the window was just as perfect in person—seriously, it looked uh-mazing.

There was just one tiny hiccup: the plunging neckline needed a little extra security. I didn’t want a repeat of Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl moment, thank you very much. Enter Shannon, the real MVP. She offered to escort me two doors down to the seamstress and see if she could work her magic and install a snap on the dress—today.

I thought exceptional customer service was a thing of the past, but Millie’s shattered that illusion. If you need a fabulous outfit or are on the hunt for a standout gift, Millie in Monarch Beach is your spot. I can’t recommend them enough—five stars all the way!

Millies is my favorite place to shop! The ladies are always awesome and they have GREAT stuff….fabulous clothes, unique jewelry pieces, great house accent items and cute baby items too! I am not a shopper but Millies makes shopping fun!

Millies has a fun variety of beach decor, cashmere, a little baby section. I always seem to find a great item I can use to elevate my room. The perfect rug under my desk, handmade Square basket for the coffee table or a must have cashmere poncho. They ordered a custom made pillow for my bed. At Christmas I got a beautiful scallop shell wreath I made into an Advent wreath for my mom with her beach decor. Millie's is an exciting adventure.

I bought a pair of shorts and dressy tank top for my wife. I didn't pay attention to the price before buying, and got sticker shock at the register. Overpriced to say the least, but that's fine; however, that's not what irritated me...

The salesperson conveniently did not mention their store policy, which is to refuse refunds and only issue store credit. So, when I came back next day to tell the store owner that the newly purchased garments did not fit my wife (needed a size 0, instead of a 2), and that I requested a refund, she said they do not refund purchases. What am I to do if they do not have my wife's size, and that there's nothing else in the store that interests her?

Now, I'm a business owner myself. If you have to resort to a no refund policy, it's that your gross sales aren't that great to begin with - it's akin to holding your customer's money hostage...poor business practice and very unfair to the customer.

So, I will be disputing the charge, and also warning our friends about this shady and deceptive business practice. Any business who pays more attention to their bottom line than customer satisfaction is, in my opinion, not worthy of being in business in the place.
