If you're looking for a chill spot for a weekend outing, the pier is a great choice! It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll to take in some stunning views. Parking is super convenient, which is a plus.
At the end of pier, you'll find a cozy gift shop and a cafe for snack. Plus, there are tons of nearby restaurants if you’re in the mood for a bite after your walk.
Whether you want to swim, surf, or just relax and soak in the scenery, this place has a laid-back vibe that makes it worth checking out. Definitely a must-see if you’re in the area!

We had the opportunity to visit Malibu Pier before the devastating wildfire disasters. Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy. May they find strength and resilience in these challenging times.

The sunrise on January 2, 2025, was truly breathtaking—nature’s perfect way of ushering in a new day and a new year. It’s hard to imagine how this beautiful place would soon face such devastation just days later.

As I’m ware of the wild fires that happen there , my heart goes out to the victims and places affected by that ..
Only I can say it is I have all the great memories from there .

this was so beautiful. we went to Santa Monica Pier earlier in the week and this one was just not even comparable. to start with we’ve never been to malibu before so just driving in the city was an experience in its self (since we live in florida which is boringly flat) but we just stopped for some views and to walk along the pier. we sat down at a restaurant and probably spent around 2 hours there. (i am not going to bash the restaurant but i didn’t like it. i am all for plant based but at least make it good. not very great but the views made up for it) it got a little chilly so bring a sweater if you plan on staying a little into the night hours. if you’re a tourist visitor malibu this is a nice quick stop!

As I'm posting thus I am aware of what the recent fires have done to the town so this is more of a homage to what Malibu was and hopefully will be in the future. The pier is an enjoyable place to visit with cafes and restaurants and beautiful sea views.

Parking was close by and for free next to the busy avenue. I had heard about the Pier and was a bit disappointed like: is that it? The restaurant/cafe at the entry of the Pier was always full. We just took a coffee out which was fine. Toilets not terribly clean.

Great spot for a photo op. When I came which was a Monday morning it was early morning and 52 degrees on a Summer Day. If you're looking for a place to park there is no parking beach side Midnight to 5am. There are lifeguards through out the day if one worries about that. Try the Malibu Farm for me I didn't get to try it. 🙃 Lastly the seagulls are pretty friendly too.

Oh almost forgot there are boat ride starting at 11:30 AM as well for those who are interested. You have to go to the end of the pier for that (well that's where I saw the sign.)

This review is for the Malibu boat ride. Great discovery. New business. Only recently started up. Ask about their first ever customer@ Such nice guys running it. Chatty, welcoming and friendly. 45 minute cruise from end of pier past Malibu beach and colony. Interesting and informative commentary. Soft drinks and alcohol available on bread. Plus toilet. Would highly recommend.
