Cute clothes but the blonde that works there was incredibly rude. Had to leave store !!!! When we walked in she didn’t look up. Didn’t ask if we needed any help and when we did ask for other sizes she Acted like I was bothering her. I asked if I could order she said probably not.
Had to leave. She needs a class in costumer service

I’m not sure if the woman working there this morning (6/29/24) was the owner, manager, or a worker, but I was left feeling stunned and disrespected. I’m not sure if it’s because I was the only non-white person there, or if she just felt like being rude, or what… my (white) partner and I walked in and as I looked at the baby clothes, she oh so helpfully let me know that “there was a sales rack I may be interested in that was towards the back of the store.”

My partner is a non-confrontational guy, so he just had us leave, but I have NEVER seen him so heated.

Maybe she thought she was being helpful, but I highly doubt it, as she did not say the same thing to a (white) couple that entered the shop moments after us.

My partner and I love Balboa Island and visit frequently and enjoy checking out all the shops and chatting with owners, workers, and residents, so it was disappointing to have such a poor experience. I will have to avoid this store for future visits

My mom and I stopped in there for last minute outfits for the kiddos. She has a great selection of boutique style kids clothes. Her prices are comparable to Carters but clothes are so much cuter and not stuff every other kid is wearing. I have walked past this place a dozen times assuming it would be pricey and I am glad that I popped in because it really wasn't.
The lady was friendly and helpful in finding the sizes we needed.

(Copying from my Yelp review) Last year we went to balboa island for Mother’s Day and my grandfathers birthday. After eating at the Village Inn I searched for a baby boutique in the area and it suggested this one.

I was pregnant at the time and wanted to shop for my baby girl so we went to check it out. The baby girl section was in the back of the store and as we were browsing the elderly lady came back and said “what’s going on back here? Do I need to call security?!” She sort of laughed but we did not. Just because we aren’t blonde and blue eyed?

We left and have never returned.
